Very good value for money stay just outside Hereford. Quirky location but we loved the sound of bells etc. large twin room. Comfortable stay and good shower. If staying with children watch that windows open right out. Easy check in system. Would stay again

A fabulous place to stay and great value. The rooms were spotless, the bedding particularly good and the bathroom spacious with a great shower. The welcome was clear and helpful. Just a great stay at a lovely site with superb views.

Lovely stay while exploring the area. Very peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of Hereford but still close by. Great room with really nice shared kitchen facilities if you want to use them, or you can have a continental breakfast which we chose. Superb staff! We’ve already booked a return for a stopover.

Excellent accommodation, the room was clean, modern, bed comfortable Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was upstairs, which was fine for us. The Porters Lodge has a very warm and welcoming feel. The grounds are beautiful and make sure you visit the Abbey. We want to go back and use as a base for a short break. Would recommend.

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff who were keen to do all they can for a pleasant stay. Somewhere a little different and well worth the reasonable price!

The room was super clean, it appeared to have been recently decorated, the carpets appeared new, the ensuite seemed new, and all was nice. One thing I would say, as the room was facing the garden, there were a couple of spotlights on the front of the abbey/centre, and the window blind didn't fully cover the window, so the light came through that was the only negative thing i could think of

Room was fairly new and clean. A little too hot during the night but the window did open slightly. Just to note the room is part the church which we didn’t realise until we got there. Right next door the bells were ringing every 15 minutes on the evening, then started again at 8am and lasted longer in the morning to call for service (it was Sunday). I enjoyed them but just to note in case you were wanting a lie-in. There is no option for breakfast although the listing did state it would be available. Overall a nice stay for a reasonable price.

very quiet ……most of the time. It might be nice to let people know that there would be quite so many bells. We didn’t know it was an abbey))

If you’re looking for a simple clean overnight stay and your self catering this is good value I recommend. It is a monastic location next to wye valley nhs rust as long as your comfortable with church bell ringing at fairly regular intervals.

For what you pay, this is an excellent place to stay when visiting Hereford, but it is really a room only property. It is situated a couple of miles outside Hereford, in a quiet countryside setting, so is nice to unwind at. There is a continental breakfast available for only £5, but this could not be booked through the Expedia site. There is a communal kitchen and dining room, so you can either make something yourself, or order in a deliveroo. The room was a good size, clean and functional, with plenty of storage for your clothes. The bathroom was a good size, with a nice corner shower unit. There is limited manning of the front desk, but there are contact numbers if you have a problem. Having said that, the 2 members of staff on reception that i met were both welcoming and helpful, so do not get put off by this. Would i stay there gain, most certainly.
