We had a great stay. The cabin was perfect for what we needed and the Resort was super nice. The sheets on the bed were too small for the mattress and wouldn’t stay on and it would have been nice to have a broom in the cabin, but everything else was wonderful.

Our family of 6 (plus our 4 dogs 🐾) shared one of the large cabins, and while it was definitely cozy at times, we absolutely LOVED our stay here! We ended up grabbing an air mattress for the loft upstairs, but honestly, we spent most of our time outside exploring because the resort is just that beautiful. The cabin itself was very clean and smelled like fresh wood when we walked in, which made it feel extra cozy and relaxing. It also came stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, and there was a shared grill outside for the cabins in the area. We also appreciated that there was a nearby shower house available in case the cabin bathroom was occupied. The pool and pool bar were amazing; clean, relaxing, and such a fun atmosphere. The walking trail right outside our cabin was perfect for morning walks with the dogs, and we loved having both small and large dog parks available. The staff and bartenders were fantastic the entire stay. We even ordered food to the pool, and the staff picked it up from the golf course for us, and the food was so good! We also visited Elk Ridge Golf Course, which was an absolutely gorgeous course… and even more special because our daughter got engaged there during our trip ❤️ The location was perfect too; only about 5–10 minutes from both Spearfish and Deadwood. We loved ending our nights making s’mores by the fire pit area. Even with so much to do nearby, the resort itself was so peaceful and beautiful that we honestly didn’t

Room for the 6 of us to sleep. Nice towels but could have used more paper towels in the kitchenette. Only 4 seats at the table. Microwave noisy. Beam over the bunk bed dangerous. It should be padded. Lovely playground and area. Pool looked nice. Laundry

The cabins are so cute and cozy! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all our needs for utensils and pots and pans and dishes. The fridge is good sized. My only complaint is the comfort of the futon and chairs but we didn’t really use them much because the outside was just to beautiful to stay indoors much.

We stayed here because of the location to the black hills and because of previous reviews. We rented one of the Mountain view cabins and they did not disappoint us. The property was rated a 10 and we agree. Elkhorn is a clean and nice property and would definitely stay here again.

these cabins are amazing, beautiful and comfortable! We stayed there in March and there really weren't any people around, so everything was really nice and quiet (I'm sure it's a bit different in the summer). Lots of things are in driving distance. Very convenient!

Really love everything about this place! Wish we were staying in the area longer. A few walking paths around the property, playground, laundry facility, the main office has small store and food- unfortunately we were here out of season so the little cafe was closed.
