Despite having a wonderful viewpoint, this experience was not worth $250 the night. The website and the price set high standards for a upscale clamping experience, which we felt misled. Terra clamping does not live up to the website's description without a potable water supply or food refrigeration when you advertise cooking conveniences. Except the five gallon canister in the kitchen, there is no potable water on the site. The two small bottles of water in the tents are insufficient for water storage. It would have been nice to know there was no water in advance, and we would have prepared our own water supply. Does it constitute compliance with the sono county health code to rent lodging without a source of potable water? There are only two sinks with garden hose spouts for brushing teeth between the showers. What happens when all tents are full? Thats a lot of people around two sinks. Concerned about the warning that the water in the restrooms was not potable, we used the bottled water you provided in the tents to brush our teeth. But flushable toilets were the most unappealing. The chemical smell was overwhelming, and the dark green chemical liquid in the bowls didn't appear eco-friendly. Additionally, emailed the proprietor to inquire about what refrigeration could be done on-site for our dinner food. No response.

The views of the Pacific Ocean are unparalleled every minute of your stay at Terra. The shared kitchen area made for quick friends and the private and intimate tents allowed us to escape to tranquility whenever we wanted. Waking up to the Pacific Ocean was unforgettable.

My husband and I visited in August for his birthday weekend. Since we hadn't planned to go camping before, we looked for a good clamping spot because we didn't want to carry around all the gear. A lot of clamping spots I've stayed at haven't been very remote. I was craving some wilderness time, and this place was perfect for me. Do not fear, the tents are located up a unmarked road. They provide detailed instructions on how to locate them, and the ocean views are incredible. You get the impression of being in the woods as well as the stunning ocean views. You can sleep on the tents because they are clean and attractive. If you want to eat somewhere else, you can take a 20-minute drive to town. Its a really special place and a fantastic setting for relaxation. Anyone seeking a truly unique experience that is difficult to locate elsewhere should check it out.

Rebecca and David, the hosts, were really kind, made sure I was comfortable, and answered all my questions about my visit ahead of time. It was fun to hang out with other guests and share supper and wine, but it was also very easy to walk back to my tent for some alone nap time. Ill definitely be back, it was a great experience. Oh! And the sticky buns in the morning.. Above all. thank you again. Ill be back!.

We booked one night while travelling around California. Our journey from the San Fransisco area was a bit overdone due to some road closures and delays. The smoke from the inland wildfires obscured the sky. After our journey, we were pleased to arrive at the campground and relax. Our tent had a lovely outlook out toward the sea, and the peace and tranquility of the location did us much good. We didn't need much to eat because we had been nibbling throughout the journey. Sadly, the advertised store over an open fire was unavailable due to a fire risk. I heated water in a pan over a gas ring, which worked much faster once I lifted the flap to keep the flame protected from the wind and make some hot chocolate. As it got dark, we sat in front of the tent and saw some stars through the smoke layer and even a meteorite! We slept well, the bed seemed slightly unusual, but we were very comfortable. The moon was up for the toilet block, so I didn't even need a torch. Some of the solar powered lights along the paths had given up by that time. Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, and other cold items along with hot coffee. This was much more comfortable and convenient compared to my last few experiences with real camping. Great idea but not quite "it". The view is amazing, but it feels like you are invading someone's home, since the hostess and her family lives there. The tents are nice but not sealed up like a real tent so the bugs are in your tent with you. The chairs on the decks are not comfortable to just sit and enjoy the view, but it doesn't feel comfortable enough to go sit anywhere else. The toilets definitely need to change. They smell and toilets look nasty with the chemicals they use and the one I used had no toilet paper in it, so had to use paper towels. The toilets can't handle the paper so you need to use the trash can if you choose to use more :( There should be a warning how tough the road is to get up to the camp site. Luckily we took our road trip on our suv and not our sports car because otherwise we wouldn't have made it up there. Just an fyi...there are more rules than if you camp on your own and it didn't seem like you could go hiking or explore. Glamping was on our bucket list so at least we can say we tried it but will probably just stick to regular camping.
