About Refugio Knapp
Located at the base of the iconic Cerro Catedral in San Carlos de Bariloche, Refugio Knapp offers 17 renovated rooms blending modern design with traditional mountain architecture. Enjoy unparalleled ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes right outside the hotel. A perfect meeting point for mountain sports enthusiasts and Cerro Catedral's vibrant social scene, Refugio Knapp offers an ideal mountain experience. Founded in 1946 by Reynaldo Knapp, a local transporter and mountain enthusiast, in collaboration with the Bariloche Andean Club, it stands as the Club's first refuge—originally designed as a haven for skiers, mountaineers, and nature lovers.
