For complete access to and from the skiing area, the hotel has been relocated, and the ski bus stop is directly outside the hotel. Our rental vehicle could park there. We slept in rooms 301 and 302, both of which were clean and large, with a shared balcony. There was a lot of storage and hanging space. Although a little antiquated, the restrooms were spotless and functional. Half board was used by us. Dinner was on its own for the first few nights of our visit, but it was excellent on the final night, which marked the beginning of the high christmas holiday. The bar was good. The personnel was incredibly helpful, polite, and efficient. When compared to other hotels in Obergurgl that we considered, the alpenaussicht is fairly inexpensive and offers excellent value for the money while not having the amenities and facilities of the others.

We had recently stayed at the Alpenaussicht Hotel. Lets begin with the good points. Its location is excellent. A drag lift to the main lift station takes you up the mountain in a brief walk. A bus stop that transports you to golden is located directly outside the hotel. The bedrooms are of acceptable size and cleanliness. The drawbacks begin now. The manager was miserable when we got there. Our hotel was not greeted with a smile. He was more concerned with helping his son with his homework than with our inquiries if you went to the reception desk. The food was disappointing. The breakfast was adequate. There was plenty of continental meats, yogurts, and cereals, but no fresh fruit. After a day of skiing, there was no tea or cake provided. The meals were a main course every other evening at a buffet format. The leftovers appeared to be used up in the restaurant. You had to wave to attract the waiting personnel to take a drink. And if you don't order alcoholic beverages, you have to ask for them if you require them. The bartender never appeared behind the bar. You had to search for him if you needed a drink from the bar. He was either smoking on the terrace or chatting with the kitchen staff. There was no furniture outside on the patio where you could rest in the sun and relax. We had to set

I've just got back from a wonderful week of skiing at Obergurgl at the Alpenaussicht. Some prior evaluations have suggested poor service or that the hotel be given a three-star rating. I'm referring to it as being garbage! First-rate service, especially from a decent lady who wasn't sure how to spell her name. The bartender, Maximilian, was also outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the employees. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the food was excellent and plentiful. It wasn't overcrowded and shady unlike some Austrian hotels, but in line of caution to other British visitors, if the steam room and sauna are traditional, this signifies that it is a naked steam room and sauna. It is quite disrespectful to ignore this. Do not use the wonderful Wellness Center if you don't want to go naked in! Outstanding holiday. Thank you, Hotel alpenaussicht! Family marsh.

The Alpenaussicht hotel was one of our most recent lodgings. The hotel's position is its greatest feature. The ski school is across the street, and the lifts to get up the mountain are right outside. The bus stop is located close by if you want to spend a day in golden. The accommodations are quite spacious and clean, but without any flaws. Despite turning the thermostat down and leaving the window open, we did find them quite warm at night. The primary complaint for us was the cuisine. The breakfast was excellent. Continental meats, yogurts, cereals, etc. The weekly main courses at a buffet let down the evenings. I wouldn't anticipate to be offered in a four-star hotel to require that we prepare our own hamburger. Another evening was rice and strips of meat that you made yourself. Another thing was disappointing was the rice pudding you prepared by yourself, which was less enjoyable and less expensive than the tap water. They offer house wine with your meal which is very palatable and at 2 euros per glass cheaper than the tap water! The menu isn't mentioned, and we weren't aware of it until our final evening, but simply inquire! The buffet-style meals were generally good value for the money, but I wouldn't stay here again primarily because of the hotel.
