I have stayed here two different times, two years apart. The hotel's owner is usually there during the week and has always been kind to us. When I required copies made, he helped but refused to give me a penny. He went above and beyond to assist our group in discovering a nice restaurant that would fit our demands. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Some of the men are wearing traditional bellman vests and tie. They are very helpful and carry your luggage to your room. It's not a fancy place, but it's very clean and modern. The rooms are small but nice. If you request a double, you will receive two extremely small beds. If you want a queen size, ask for a matrimonial bedroom. They serve traditional Chinese breakfast, which consists of tea or coffee, bread, cold cuts, cheese, and fruit. For brunch, they also have pie. I love the location of this place although it lacks a view of the ocean. The flower clock and the ocean are still very close and within walking distance. It is highly advised.

After being evacuated from a luxury beachfront hotel during the recent tsunami warning, we spent the night in this hotel. This is the safe haven. The large conference room welcomed all the displaced travelers, served wine, and offered snacks. We were fortunate enough to sleep there for the night. The mattresses were spotless. One chair and two twin beds were in the basic room, with a closet. But it was unquestionably adequate for a little rest. There was a small portable fan in the apartment that was able to cool the space. We didn't stay for breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. When you travel in Via Del Mar during the next earthquake, keep this hotel in mind!.

We stayed here for 6 nights while on a mission trip. The service was wonderful. We had a beautiful hot shower and the cleaning kept the room clean. The staff is always there and very friendly. Breakfast is provided. Secure parking is also a plus.
