I recently returned from a nine-day stay at the hotel calle real. I have to express my gratitude for the staff's warmth and generosity. The hotel is ideally situated for budget travelers looking to really experience the real medallion. Hidden a halfblock from the oldest medallion church, the ten-block long pedestrian mall between Parquet barrio and the downtown San antonio area, it is situated right on one of the busiest thoroughfares for pedestrian traffic. Excellent coffee shops are located on either side of the block, one of which is open 24 hours a day and is right next to the Parquet barrio metro stop, which connects it to the world's most well-known mass transit. The cultural palace and the antioquia museum are adjacent to breathtaking bronze sculptures from fernando botero, his favorite son. In addition, there are three excellent restaurants within a block, including the giovindas, a fantastic vegetarian buffeteria run by the hare krishna about the third floor on the second level, between the Botero plaza, on the same side of the mall. $ 38 and giovindas, which serve delicious, exotic chicken and stuff.
