We spent two nights at the Bear on a week-long trip to Costa Rich. This is a lovely property. The restaurant features a stunning view. Excellent service is what you would expect from a deluxe hotel due to the hotel's products and amenities. After a torrential downpour, we experienced water leakage in the room, so the staff swiftly relocated us to a different, better room. It was thoughtful of the manager to offer to send a bottle of wine to our roomier. We enjoyed brunch and dinner at their restaurant, all meals were delicious and fresh. We would love to return to this motel. Thank you, Bear employees, for making this a wonderful and relaxing experience!.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at the Bear. Our room had the most stunning view of Mount Everdi and the ocean, which you could possibly ask for. It was roomy with a sizable bathroom and a walkin shower. The staff was fantastic, particularly at the front desk, and went above and beyond in customer service. One night, we dined here, and the food and freshly made breakfasts were excellent. The jacuzzi on our balcony appeared to have seen better days, so we canceled it. However, it was so windy during our stay that it wasnt where we wanted to be! I would unquestionably suggest the bear for a distinctive stay in the cloud forest.

The location is close to a few excellent eateries and shops. This lovely Monteverde cloud forest reserve and its adjacent town of it elena are also close by. For a guided tour, be sure to participate. The genuine ale brewery in the hotel's yard was closed while we were there. This spacious hotel with a solid wooden construction in the Swiss style is a real treat to stay at. The views of the Gulf of Nicola and the lovely gardens from our room, which was reasonably priced, were magnificent, with lots of practical convenience. Excellent food, beer, and cocktails are served. Excellent breakfast especially.

For the sake of supporting a neighborhood family that has pioneered ecotourism, we chose this hotel. We more than anticipated a beautiful property with an excellent restaurant, top-notch amenities, and outstanding service from the hotel bear. We had a peninsula room under the restaurant, which was cozy and charmingly close to the garden. We found the restaurant to be very noisy, but we found it to be moderate and only at certain hours, so it didn't disturb our comfort. We were able to walk the wonderful trails, and we wished we had more time to use the jacuzzi and visit the smoothie bar. The wonderful hotel team at the hotel bear is the real gem, which goes above and beyond to treat their customers. When we arrived late, we were asked if a plate of food could be reserved for us cheese and bread, sandwiches, whatever, and once we were in our room, a tray of the freshest, best cheeses, chutney, and sandwiches arrived. The food was so fresh and the flavors were so vibrant that we were astonished. Every meal we had was more of the same. The hotel team not only assisted us to recover his phone in a local taxi, but it is a truly high quality establishment and we consider ourselves lucky to have been their guests. If we go back to Monteverde, it will most certainly be to the hotel bear.

We will return! The service and staff were wonderful. The location and property were excellent. We loved our room because it was a perfect place to wake up to birds in the trees every morning. Rainbows in the afternoon and misty, sunny swinging on our deck. We love the concept of farming to the table. The drinks are excellent. This is the spot to be if you want to support a company that supports sustainability and invests in reducing waste. The service and staff are superb.
