In May 2022, I spent five nights at the lodge. The campground is only a three-hour van drive from Arena. It is not necessary to travel to Can Negro. The lodge made arrangements for me to travel by van to and from the lodge. If you're searching for wildlife and bird watching off the beaten path in an interesting part of the country that most tourists don't visit, you should definitely visit this lodge if you are searching for costa-rich wildlife and birding off the beaten path in an interesting area of the country, you should undoubtedly visit this lodge. Pure vida. I was the only visitor three nights, and two of them were with one couple. The restaurant provided delectable food, including breakfast, in my simple but sufficient accommodation. It was easy for me to anticipate. The air conditioner operated superbly, and the bed was comfy. There was plenty of hot water. The lodging is able to arrange birding excursions. I took two bird tours, one of which took me into the reserve. The reserve is home to numerous shorebirds and a fascinating wetland habitat. It is not necessary to travel to Can Negro. The lodge set up my transportation van to and from the lodge.

I can say that the hotel is really good. The bed is not very comfortable, the room is plain, the bathroom is good. Breakfast is included, and it is nice. It's worth staying here for the wetlan driver tours. We booked two tours through the hotel, and the tours were both great. Esto was our afternoon guide and he was great. He saw so many different birds! Also, several basilisk lizards and a caiman.

About Caño Negro Natural Lodge

Situated in the heart of the Caño Negro Wetlands, this eco-friendly and sustainable lodge offers personalized service and unique tours in addition to accommodation. Visitors might enjoy a tour of the wetlands- on foot or by boat - to observe local flora and fauna, including white-faced monkeys and spider monkeys, or take a fishing tour, conservation tour or bird sanctuary tour. Each room is spacious, modern and tastefully furnished with dark wood furnishings, air-conditioning, and complete en suite bathroom. Guests can enjoy both local and international specialties made with local products such as pineapple and vanilla in the onsite restaurant and make use of the small library and table games while enjoying a drink in the cosy bar.
