The place is great! It may be a bit uncomfortable for some guests to carry their luggage on the sledges available. (I thought it was fun.) Dinner was fantastic, room was very comfortable. Wi-fi had some issues, though. We definitively recommend it!

This place is magical! The cabins were perfectly lovely and we got SO lucky with the Northern Lights. The restaurant was great, the food is fresh and delicious. The team working is so accommodating. My friend slipped and strained her ankle (her fault). They were so kind as to make her a basket for breakfast and picked us up at our cabin to drive us back up to check out so she didn't have to walk. The sauna, jacuzzi and ice dip are must do's as well! I will dream of this place for a while and hope to come back someday! Thank you so much for an incredible stay!

관광이 아닌 여행을 원하신다면 꼭 들려보세요. Truly an unspeakable experience. We visited in January 2025 to enjoy the Finnish winter, and this place provided an unforgettable time. We were lucky enough to see the aurora on our first night. Their spa facilities are excellent, and they even offer an ice bath experience in the river (we were too scared to try—lol). The cracking sounds in the forest were unlike anything we've experienced before. At first, it feels strange and intimate, but once you realize it's the sound of wood cracking due to the extreme cold, it becomes part of the unique natural experience. Coming from the U.S., we'd never heard anything like it. Interestingly, when we visited Saariselkä afterward, we didn’t hear that sound again—truly a one-of-a-kind memory. Overall, we had a great time. One small issue: we had heater problems twice during our 3-night stay. However, the maintenance team responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly. I believe this has likely been fully resolved by now. Oh, and their glögi? The best we had in all of Finland (we had glögi every day—lol). A truly wonderful experience.

Fantastic super kind staff, the restaurant on site was incredible, and the glass cabins were beautiful! We absolutely loved our stay! Only negative to note which was not that big of a deal is on the shower there is a sign that says you only have 15 minutes of hot water per hour and in our experience we had about 9 minutes before it was freezing cold. All in all, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend!

Amazing lodge with three glass sides. The view when you wake up is just breathtaking. Staff was very helpful. Restaurant was out of this world a definite place to put on your bucket list to stay.

I don't think there are enough words to describe our experience at Arctic Skylight Lodge! The glass cabin was just perfect with an amazing view and all the facilities we needed. Bed was comfortable, shower was nice, room was cosy and warm. Breakfast was ample and staff was very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend this place!

Staff was excellent and helpful. We were in a fix trying to get to the hotel but Milla came to the rescue and we eventually got out of the fix and was able to enjoy our stay in the hotel. The restaurant within the hotel serves splendid 3 course dinner that is a must try. Does not pale in comparison to Michelin star restaurants. They are too underrated.

Beautiful stay at Arctic Skylight Lodge. I was traveling by myself from the Kolari railway station and took the Ski Bus to Akaslompolo center where I had a great lunch and then took a taxi to the Lodge (about 25 euros). I spent the day walking in the woods (there's a trail down to the lake / river) and sledding and obviously taking a ton of photos. The 3 course dinner at the Lodge was absolutely delicious. Slept like a baby, was woken up by Aurora Alert at 1am and saw them from my bed and woke up to a lovely sunny day and a great breakfast. I would have maybe liked some more Lappish / Finnish influences in the breakfast though, maybe some leipajuusto with cloudberry jam, rye bread etc. All in all an excellent stay! Will definitely return.

Absolutely exceptional. The property, staff and location were perfect. Dinner at their restaurant was phenomenal. I can’t say enough great things about our stay here. Wish we had stayed longer. If you are in this area of Finland, I would highly suggest staying at Arctic Skylight Lodge.

Absolutely amazing stay and can’t fault anything about it. The staff are lovely and so willing to help with anything, the food was exceptional and a real treat each evening and the accommodation was very comfortable. Saw the northern lights on two of three nights and they were stunning with the lack of light pollution around. Sauna and hot tub were a great experience and so was the very chilly dip in the river. Have recommended to all of my friends and will be back!

From New York, we spent two nights in mid-february. This hotel comes highly recommended by me because the property was lovely and close to the city center, making it only a short drive if you wanted to explore. The staff was extremely helpful with everything we needed while staying at the hotel, including transportation to and from our activities, and booking any additional activities to do. We didn't need the staff's assistance too much when it came to getting around because we had a car. We had delicious dinner there both nights. Because they hold onto bookings quickly, I'd advise making a reservation for dinner and sauna right away. The rooms didn't have WiFi, but there is free WiFi in the main lodge where the restaurant is. This was without a doubt my favorite spot and hotel in garland.

We got a really delicious 3 course menu using the finest quality ingredients and expert technique from Chef Jonas. Every course we tasted was perfect with a high standard of ingredients. Patricia attentive service. Great value, highly recommended!
