We stayed there on a Saturday evening just after our wedding. I had no idea how exhausted we were, but the kind host took very good care of us. The place and rooms remind me of my grandparents home I am French and if my grandparents had a sweet bob. The rooms are large, the food is delicious and the grounds are beautiful. I highly recommend it.

It was an Authentic French stay, a very old French feel to this location, it was magical. Stone walls, wooden floors, and an elegance proprietor, a woman that time forgot, we could speak very little French, and the owner of the establishment spoke no English, but it didn't matter at all we had an unspoken understanding of what we needed. Even if the food was amazing I am gluten-free and was brought a four-course meal that was perfect for me, great wine as well. Breakfast was equally great, with ham cheese, coffee jams, and other goodies. I will take my own bread as there is no bread readily available. The best place we'd ever stayed in, both outside and inside, was the smell and ambience. Although you don't speak French, staying at this hotel in such a historical, authentic French setting is not a problem. We will definitely stay here again and we can't wait. Oh, and the two small dogs are fantastic.

Its 10 to 30 minutes from every other town to visit, La commander is in a lovely 800 year old home. Its really nicely decorated with antiques. There is a nice ground pool and a nice large park on the property. Lots of parking and easy to access. The chef is amazing and the owner's service is great. Mme Roux is so helpful with places to visit and to tell about her little chateau. Breakfast and dinner are served outdoors in nice weather.

It was a beautiful landscape, with beautiful windows and beautiful ceilings. The service was good, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. This place is located in a cluster of historic buildings right over the stone bridge and is not visible from the main road. We made our way down a cold stream to Condatsurvezere, where a small cascade sends the cold into the severe river. We strolled through a tiny village and saw a fortified church dating from the nineteenth century, small and larger mills, the hospitallers prison, and finally, we came upon the commanders lodgings, the former knight hospitallers safekeeping post. A starter and dessert are included, and it is a fantastic deal of EUR15. We don't know if you're dining in an antique store, but the service was hospitable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Even at 95 euros, there is an option for supper.
