The service here was really nice. The front desk employee named Anna was very friendly and helpful when we arrived at midnight. She even took us to our room to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The decor here is chic and unique. The hotel has a tidy and wellkept structure. For breakfast, we loved the fresh cheese, eggs, sausages, and veggie dish with zucchini. There was even fresh honey. The coffee came from a machine, but since I drink tea, it isnt an offense. I knew that the day cleaning was very careful when we went back to our room every evening. When we went down to the bar before dinner, we noticed that the cocktails were delicious but took over half an hour to make, and that was after we had waited a while for someone to take our order. It turns out that the bar was a little understaffed that day. Wed most definitely return.

We were greeted with a friendly welcome and a beverage at the bar while we waited for the room. When we arrived at our room, we were very impressed with the size of the room and the big comfy bed. It was great to have the bathroom in a room on its own. The maid service was also excellent. We were never bothered by knocks on the door and after going for lunch etc, we came back and the room was done. Perfect. However, music is played all day sometimes from 8.30 in the morning. This was quite annoying if you just want a bit of peace. One day we had not had breakfast and thought wed have lunch in the outside garden. We wanted something light like baguettes etc, but it was not available and the options were expensive and slightly underwhelming banging a few flowers and a couple of strawberries on a heap of average quality carbon wont pull the wool over anyone's eyes. It was a fascinating experience. When we checked out on Friday, midday, the receptionist's attitude was also quite frosty. I really don't have any hint of my error when she asked my wife for 800 euros for the room, which had already been paid for. This stay could have been better. Examples of a more consistent attitude from the staff. A simple lunch and snacks menu. in all areas of the hotel, maybe not

Congratulations to the owners for turning this old bordeaux university building into a stunning hotel. It's a truly fantastic place and a wonderful example of how to reuse something with love and exquisite attention to detail. Loved the welcome, decor, the ambiance and the charmingly enthusiastic team.
