I have never felt so dangerous in my life. I stayed here for three days and planned my day to get as little from and to the hostel as possible, never early morning or late at night. I would have booked a hotel and stayed in this area the first night if I could afford it, but I had to pay for my entire stay when I got there. I am a female traveling alone and stayed in a hostel room. The room was fantastic! Very large and clean, a hotel standard room, I would say. The fridge made a lot of noise which annoyed me. The area was very good. I strongly advise women to avoid this experience. It is never fun to be seen and canceled, but this was the next level.

The favorable things are the simple but spotless accommodations. The location of the lodging for central Athens was good, and the bed was cozy for sleeping in. Breakfast was also worth four euros. In addition, if one is traveling alone, there seemed to be a large number of interesting visitors of all ages to converse with when you checked out and still used the hostel amenities. However, it is normal in hostel life, as one would assume, and you might occasionally hear intermittent banging and echoing sounds around the structure. I felt completely safe despite the fact that there was a police presence most of the time in the notorious location of the hostel, which is something of a concern for many reviewers. It is best practice to turn left as you exit the main hostel, and then you enter the main road to the Omnia metro stop. I did observe garbage strewn about on the pavement or sidewalk, which made the neighborhood seem so ugly.

It's worth paying 7 euros for the laundry that they give and can do it so quickly! Our room was on the ninth floor. We are able to hear the songs in our room since the music from the rooftop bar was so loud. We asked them to turn the bass down three times and nothing changed. Even if they ask you to turn down the music, be prepared to deal with the sounds of early morning. The bar is open till early morning, so be prepared to deal with the noise. We could hear people speaking loudly as they wait for the elevator all night. The rooms were neat and in a distinctive region. I felt safe walking around. 7 minutes to the Monastriaki metro station, 7 minutes to Omnia. Overall, the staff was helpful. A bag of laundry costs 7 euros and is completed very quickly.

Very pleasant small location near everywhere. The location is quite strategic and the staff are extremely helpful. In terms of the rooms, I stayed in a private room and it had all the necessities. Every day the room was cleaned. Breakfast was great for the price, with varied breads, cold meats, cheese, fruit, etc. The street on which the hostel is on is a little out of place, but I suppose that's more to do with the unfamiliar than any real threat. Sign up for Uber, which will get you to local places for a few euros and is a fraction of what you pay hailing a taxi on the street. Meet some lovely people there, which is part of the hostel experience. The bar has a very pleasant atmosphere and very friendly bartenders who will pass a few words with you. Highly recommended, but remember it's not the 4 seasons and you're paying 4 season prices. So good, clean, friendly and safe place to stay. Excellent value for money spent.

The breakfast and staff were also excellent! We stayed at Athens Hawks for three nights and it was fantastic! The hostel is in an excellent location, close to the necropolis and well-known squares. I was a woman and had no worries about safety. I walked alone, and there was no cat barking or anything. The hostel is clean, and the rooms were really lovely, but extra toilet paper is required! Both times, we ran out. Please provide more rolls in the restroom. The first two nights we were on the ith floor and it was very quiet and pleasant. Unfortunately, the third night after we went and stayed on a few islands was on the ith floor, which was right beneath the rooftop bar. Thankfully, we did not hear the music in our room, especially with earplugs on, and I was able to rest easy. However, when people left the bar at 3 a. M., they were yelling in the hallway and waking me up, keeping me up for more than a half hour. In order for people to be silently exit the bar, yelling should be regulated. If they wish to be quiet and not in the hallway, they should leave the hostel or go to their rooms.
