The place is very safe and has private rooms that are some of the cheapest in town. You can get 5 gallons of fresh water for gtq and the staff are friendly. Would recommend. Peeled has 3 kitchens with fridges, everything you need but not particularly fancy. Free internet sometimes works but sometimes it struggle.

In the final week of October, I stayed there. I paid 100 I for three nights for a first-floor room on the second floor for the US at the back, and the first rooms on your left when you enter the alley. This room was clean, with freshly painted white walls, and hot water. There is no view of the lake, but is very nice of the San Pedro volcano. The wifi worked well throughout my entire stay. The people were really nice. The hotel is not close to the entire tourist area, but is close to the merced in 5 to 10 minutes if you want cheap food in the evening. When I asked about it, the kitchen was a simple burner with a few utensils. Not the best, but enough to make coffee in the morning. I would definitely recommend it to people on a budget who enjoy their own space.

The good things about this hotel are the helpful employees. I don't mind the internet connection which is slow. It is a good and basic place to stay when traveling on a budget.

What a lovely surprise. We ended up in a hotel peeled following a recommendation. The I believe daughter of the proprietor led us on the property and showed us the rooms. We had a normal private room for gtq per night, which is the cheapest room we've had in 2.5 months of travel. There are also rooms with a beautiful lake view, for which you had to pay gtq but still very affordable. The hotel had good looks and was kept well. It had a common electrical wire shower that is ubiquitous in Central America and two beds that felt comfortable. Even tough they do not speak very good English, the owner family is really friendly. You can see them doing business. After our first two nights, we decided to stay a week while taking Spanish courses. Later, with a Guatemalan woman who is married to a Dutchman, we discussed this hotel, and she told us that families like this simply name a price they think sounds great rather than really having a general idea of what it costs for a hotel. They forget the hotel fees just to make you stay there for any price you believe is reasonable. So keep that in mind. This lovely, hard-working, a little poor Mayan family is trying very hard. We made that mistake but try not to reduce the value of the rooms to gtq or even less. At least 100 q

The price was so worth it in dollars with the quality of the room, including the shower, the comfort of the bed, and how friendly and helpful they were.
