This place was a dream! A little ways off the beaten path, so it was very quiet and not busy at all around the Beach area. Great snorkeling right off the dock. The hammocks at the end of the dock sway you into vacation mode. Also a beautiful place to watch the sun set. I also enjoyed their included breakfast. They had a different item everyday that was prepared fresh each morning. All staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything you needed. I felt as if they enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed theirs.

Loved this place. The staff were amazing and also very accommodating. We looked forward to the breakfast each morning. The food was delicious no matter what we ordered. Everyone was nice. Sasha was great! I would highly recommend Puerta Azul and if I get the chance, I would stay there again!

This was the best trip I've ever been on! The Villas were just as described, so clean, and the room was cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast. The grounds were so beautiful and maintained wonderfully. The location was perfect if you are looking for a slower, relaxing environment, and access to the reef was incredible. The staff could not have done their jobs better, Sasha, Noel, Rose, everyone... The perfect curated group to make every aspect of our trip seamless. Food and drinks? Amazing!!!!!! Kate, the photographer who was visiting, was so personable, interacting with all the guests. She went on a guided snorkel tour arranged by the staff and later went out snorkeling from the dock with us. Even the dock there was amazing!

Staff were amazing! Literally everyone was hospitable. The two sisters in the kitchen gave me auntie feels, it was so nice, they cared. The property is beautiful, it’s like an oasis. If you want some seclusion, not a lot of tourists and peace, this is the place for you! I woke up in paradise daily while staying here. The owners (Talia and the gent) were great and on the property daily. There is a food stand at the top of the hill (hammock in front yard and mango trees) her red snapper was fantastic, and a small store across the street for, beer, water, juice and some fruit. 10/10 for my whole experience

What an awesome gem on the Island, the drive into the property had me wondering but once onsite it was perfect. The garden cabin was exactly what we wanted for a short getaway to relax and unplug. The staff was awesome and very welcoming. The private snorkeling trip to Pigeon Key was great, we swam with the sharks and rays. The owners know how to spoil you while onsite, breakfast was very good. Also had an awesome Rum Punch, 5 stars all the way around. We are already looking at dates for a return trip.

From the moment you get to Puerta Azul you feel welcome and on vacation. Its location is outside the main cities of west bay and west end which is great. The rooms are spacious, quiet and well equipped. The dock is amazing and you can snorkel right off of it and swim to the barrier reef. The food is also tops. Everything we ate was delicious! We had a car which made getting around easy. Was perfect for getting scuba certified in west end at salty boogers. I could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Superb property with the staff to complement it.The bungalows are perfectly situated so when you walk through and to yours, you already experience paradise. A tropical beauty. The on-site restaurant offers traditional Honduran dishes all prepared to order and so delicious! Then you walk through the blue door and to the dock ON THE WATER to watch the most beautiful sunset. We've done a lot of traveling and vacationing and this vacation was absolutely unmatched. Ditch the busy, noisy, crowded resort style stay and experience a stay at Puerta Azul instead.

I spent my 50th birthday at Puerto Azul. The staff was attentive kind and made my day very special helped. My husband surprise me several times during the day. The staff is very sweet and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable the bed and the pillows were as good as mine at home so I had a very nice rest every night and every morning woke up to the beautiful ocean outside my door. The staff arranged for flowers and a sign wishing me a happy birthday in the morning when I was at breakfast I came back to a big surprise then they arranged a sunset cruise for me and then that evening they baked a cake for me.I couldn’t have asked for a more special birthday. The food in the restaurant is amazing and you’ll learn on the second day that you can’t beat the food that is just steps away from you. The restaurant was a definite added bonus. The dock just steps from your room that takes you right out over the reef is amazing. We hung out a lot just in the hammocks reading taking a dip putting on our snorkel gear and snorkeling around. You can see plenty of fish right at the dock or you can swim out a few feet to the coral reef. Amazing place.

Great staff, great food. The beach is beautiful and very peaceful and private. The bungalow rooms have small kitchenettes and very comfortable beds. Very quiet to sleep at night. Great reef to snorkel right off of the dock at this property. Included breakfast was excellent every day. Their restaurant also serves great lunches and dinners till 8pm. Free WiFi is available on the entire premises. Recommend renting a car because nothing is in walking distance from this property. There is no pool only the beautiful beach and ocean. They do have a boat on property that does snorkeling tours and sunset cruises. They do rent snorkeling gear for $15 for your entire stay and include free usage of kayaks and paddle boards. Great place to stay and family friendly. Only about 10 rooms available on site. Highly recommend!!!
