We went there 11 people together ranging in age from 671 to 65 years. Gaga and her family are the best. They drove us around and were willing to do anything for us, the room was wonderful and the breakfast was so nice. adore everything about them and the house was really great. The scenery in the area was amazing, the puffins, the sunset, and everything. I love this island and hope to come back one day.

During our stay, we had a very nice experience. The place is located on the way to the circle marker. The inside of the inn was very clean and the rooms and beds were great. My personal experiences were very fulfilling.

This guesthouse was really lovely and tidy. Our host gaga was quite kind and accommodating. She picked us up from the ferry and picked us up from the house. She loves to drive and exhibits the island well. She is extremely proud of her home. She is very knowledgeable about iceland and is keen to learn. She would do anything for us. Not only did she provide us with a proper towel but also washed our clothes! Not something I have seen in Europe and Iceland. The shower and water pressure were very good. The arctic circle marker is not too far away. A nice little hike up, down, and back. So worth the effort.

Very recommend you visit and hike to the arctic circle marker. Gaga picks you up from the ferry and will drive you wherever you want to go on the island. plethora of information about the history of grisly. Very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Rooms and guest houses clean and very comfortable.

Everything was too much trouble for the Pasar family. We were welcomed from the plane by a smiled face and experienced help and efficiency from start to finish. If we needed a lift, a member of the family would arrive. Some guests wanted a boat ride and the family organised. The guesthouse is very well equipped and of course the island is amazingly beautiful. The position is ideal, just a short walk to the harbour and just moments from cliffs and beaches with hundreds of puffins. If you want genuinely wild and spectacular, this is it. We were on the island for the summer solstice celebration and were invited to the fish buffet prepared by the island's women, which was a wonderful experience.

Guesthouse Básar is set on the island of Grímsey, which is accessible either by airplane from Akureyri airport (Norlandair.is) or by ferry from Dalvik (Vegagerdin.is). The guesthouse is located at the airport next to the arctic circle and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the ferry at the harbour.
