We arrived at the hotel early in the morning well before check in time and asked if we could store our bags until later. The staff was helpful and the front desk clerk very kindly found us an available room which turned out to be an upgrade so we were able to check in immediately. The room was spacious, very clean and had a stairway that led to a loft where there was a small sofa and a second TV. Breakfast was not included but there is a restaurant on the premises where we enjoyed very good breakfasts. The hotel is well located in Reykjavik, close to shopping and some wonderful bakeshops for early morning treats. We would happily stay here again.

English: Charming hotel with lots of character in a perfect location in the heart of Reykjavík. The hotel is a little dated, but this adds to its unique charm. Our room was cozy, although guests should know that the hotel is quite noisy due to thin walls. There were no proper blackout curtains, only white roller blinds, so the room remained quite bright at night. The small bathroom with shower was functional. As there were no proper windows for ventilation, the air in the room sometimes felt a little stale. Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay, especially because of the central location, unique atmosphere, and friendly character of the hotel.

Perfectly located in walking distance of so many places. The staff is wonderful! Gunnar at the front desk is THE BEST, so helpful and full of knowledge. Gave the best recommendations and options of things to do. Looking forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

Location is terrific and Snaps had the best breakfast around, hands down. Our only negative was a sulphorous smell from the bathroom.
