My mother and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. To be honest, I can't say it was ideal, but for a cheap traveler, it's a bed to sleep on. The bathroom was a communal bathroom with employees on the top floor, it was filthy, smelled of urine, and was grimy. This was the downside as it was clear that it had not been cleaned properly in ages. I had to wash it down every time I needed to use the bathroom to try and get rid of the smell. Having said that there was warm water available for a shower in the evenings. The rooms are small ours had two single beds inside, but after a long day walking south mumbai, all one needs is a clean bed to sleep on. The mattresses are very thin and my elderly mother was battling, so I asked the front desk if we could have a spare mattress to put on top of her mother, she said it was impossible despite seeing mattresses in the hallway. So, are there mixed reviews? Did we find better accommodations during our travels? Yes we did would I book this hotel again? No would I recommend it to other travelers? If you are on a budget, not too worried about the location of the dirty bathroom and just looking for a spot to sleep yes.

I stayed at the New India hotel for 4 nights in October. The place is lively, you can eat very good food, and the staff is very friendly and helpful! To the staff, I get a portion of my money back.

The price that I paid was good, as well as the clean sheets. The room was claustrophobic and small. And then, they also have a shared toilet and do not have hot water. After that, the wifi here was very unusable and didn't work because it was very old and filthy.
