I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We had 3 people, one of whom stayed in a big and comfortable room. The owner and his wife are quite friendly and speak English. It's a bit difficult to find, like most things in Venice, it's right on the canal, and once you get your bearings it's quite easy to find. Make sure you market on Google Maps or a paper map before you go to find it.

The place is essentially ok, and the location is just right between the realtor bridge and marcus square. Use Google Maps in a lovely old venetian structure. The landlord, salvatore, is extremely nice and helpful. He serves a very decent breakfast with a variety to choose from, including chocolate cake the day we were there. But also bread, croissants, ham, cheese, jam, granola with chocolate!, yoghurt with or without fruit, juice, apples, bananas, coffee, tea, and even chocolate nesquick. The room was actually ok and served its purpose for sleeping. No bugs around! In the rather cold venetian autumn, the very thin bed sheets were a drawback. Either a real duvet should be provided or extra blankets should be standard. We would have been freezing without the additional blankets we had to ask for. Its a simple room with a big table, and a few chairs. Although the bathroom is small, everything works fine. It was perfect for a family of four like us: excellent location, a good breakfast, a place to sleep, and good value for money. I can recommend residence della spade!. Did I mention that the wifi worked flawlessly?.

We reserved this because of it's proximity to San Marco. As this is an I, don't anticipate hotel amenities. The accommodation was fairly straightforward, but the bathroom was roomy and equipped with a contemporary bathtub. Although quiet, rooms are close to the central reception area, allowing guests and employees to hear each other's comings and goings. Our room faced an alley and a stone wall with metal pipe, and at times, we could hear neighbors and their barking dog. Although there are no views, the rooms are close to a small canal. Although the proprietors and managers are friendly and helpful, they are not available on duty at hour and have no daily room cleaning. Breakfast was provided. Our $175 per night seemed expensive considering what we got, but the location was the one advantage.

This hotel no longer exists. We went to the address and was told that there was no hotel there and to go away. I tried calling the hotel at least 5 times and no one answered the phone We had locals to verify the address and no one knew anything Please do not sell this property any longer
