We stayed at the Sporthotel Veteran in the last week of August for a combined relaxing mtb vacation. Nice greeting at the front desk in well spoken English as belgian tourists, neither German nor Italian. The possibilities for stay, dining, offers, and possible guided mtb excursions were well documented. The room was very spacious with views of the valley. Comfortable mattresses, and a nice bad room with a shower. Everything is tidy and well maintained. Dinner at the Sports Hotel Veteran is definitely a recommended and superior level. The service during meals, at the bar, or generally was excellent. There is a bike garage with all the tooling and lubricants needed, and even a sprinkler to wash the bike. We enjoyed our stay! Thanks to the owners and the team! Best wishes from Belgium!.

The hotel is located in the small village of Veteran on the sunny side of the valley facing south. It is around 3 kilometers from slanders, if coming by train ask to be picked up at Goldarn train station. The location is very quiet, the hotel has big comfortable rooms, most of which have balconies and beautiful mountain views. The area has great hiking and mountain biking trails. The tschenett family which runs the place organizes guided walking and biking tours.
