Hotel was clean and in good condition, and staff were very friendly. Hotel is located a considerable distance from main commercial areas so taking a taxi to go anywhere is effectively necessary.

It was located in a very nice area, but without close by stores. The hotel suited our needs very well-we stayed 2 separate nights & brought a friend. Vey nice breakfast!

This lodge is in the are close to diplomatic missions in a lovely section of Lilongwe. The facility is clean and the people try hard to meet all your needs. We had several electrical blackouts but that was no fault of the facility. They do have an electric generator that kicks in after a short while. Lovely surroundings, nice garden and good breakfast. I recommend it.

I was there for work, and this guesthouse feels like home, it caters to families as well, and it's spacious. I loved the food and the attention and care of the staff. The owner is there and the staff is fully capable and honest.

There was no pay card machine, so it seemed there was just a credit card machine out there. They just provide the breakfast, free internet, a small tv, and basic showers. The room was spacious, and comfortable, and quite quiet with sockets. They also have an inexpensive breakfast.

This is a large and welcoming guesthouse, which feels like home. The staff is sincerely and fully capable of serving guests and the owner is there. I really appreciate the hospitality provided and the care provided.

This is a great reasonably priced lodge in the suburbs of Lilongwe. The owner and staff were incredibly pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet, fully equipped with sockets, the simple showers are good, and the breakfast is generous. Paid internet is available via a skyward hotpot. The only disadvantage, if you don't have your own transportation, is the distance from town or from any shops or restaurants. A walk into town takes at least an hour, and a taxi costs roughly 5 euro. However, if you have transportation and are looking for a cheap, peaceful place to stay, Sheilas could be ideal. Payment is currently required in cash, but it seems that a credit card machine is on the way.

Such a warm welcome and real concern when we got a bit lost trying to find it. Staff friendliness continued Room was clean and well equipped and there's a nice garden area if you have time Restaurant service was quite slow, but good beautifully cooked, so worth the wait

It was very quiet. I think we were the only guests. They had no drinks on hand but got us some from a neighbouring lodge. Dinner was decent Malawian food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was less than half the price of surrounding properties so good value for money. It was fine for a last night in country, where our only itinerary was to rest from the road and repack for the next day. If you are looking for a comfy lodge with ambience, food and beverage choices, and things to do, you will need to look elsewhere.

Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Room okay and clean as such (bathroom shelves need to be brushed up a little). Service level needs some improvement, but I noticed progress during the 4 - 5 days I stayed there. The manager really wants to make improvements, and she cares for her guests. I had a couple of good talks with her, and I believe that she's willing to and able to listen to advice to make this a really good lodge. If there still is anything to complain about, just ask to see the manager and there will be improvements. I'm not able to say anything about the kitchen, as I had my dinner and lunch meals other places. Wifi problems while I stayed there, but - according the manager - the wifi provider had discovered problems which the provider would sort out within a few days.
