Fabulous historic hotel in the centre. Full of character. Spotlessly clean. The housekeeper is outstanding and super focussed on guest experience. We loved it

It was a unique experience to stay in a 500 year old property. Breakfast was okay and the service and hospitality were fantastic.

Fomos muito bem recebidos. Todo o serviço foi de excelência. Apenas uma funcionária para todo o serviço da casa. Espero que seja extremamente bem remunerada.

We stayed in this house for 1 night. Great care from the hostess who prepared delicious breakfast with fruits from the garden. The house has many rooms and facilities to give you privacy and feel at home.

This ‘house’ is more like a miniature castle, stuffed with antiques, curios and paraphernalia of times past. It has personality in spades and will remain in your memory. The photos give you a good idea. We absolutely loved it. The best aspect however was the lady working there, Céu, who is just a delight: so friendly, warm, chatty and couldn’t do enough for you, including cooking delicious cakes for breakfast. She reminded me of being back in my home country of Ireland. Ponte da Barca is small but perfectly formed, with a river beach and famous bridge and a bigger version, equally beautiful, Ponte de Lima, is just down the road. A treasure of a place for those who are happy to forego the modern in favour of character and history.

Staying here is like taking a step in to the past. You won't find 5 star accommodations but will be really happy with the culture service and staff. You're steps to everything this little town has to offer.

It is an old mansion that has been in one family for many years. Everything in great condition. The owner gave us a tour of the property, it was fascinating. We only stayed one night, but i wish we stayed longer. Great base for exploring near by towns and the national park.

The Ceu could not be more helpful ... she was always available to help in any way possible ... all you had to do is ask!

It is an exceptional and loving work of preservation, yet retains the quality of a familial home that has been used by several generations.

We had such a lovely stay at this lovingly restored Portuguese Manor House. Full of wonderful antiques and so comfortable and clean! The pool was a welcome addition which kept our teenage boys happy at the end of a busy day exploring the region. The family were extremely hospitable and between them spoke English, French and Spanish. They were so helpful when it came to booking excursions and finding places to eat out- they gave us insider knowledge of the area! It's an unusual place to stay but we were so glad that we chose it. We got a real taste of North Portugal and the culture of the region here. We experienced a musical festival in the town square, listened to live Portuguese music by the river and watched the locals practice for their Saints day festival in traditional costumes! Something was going on everyday.

I stayed 2 nights with my 13 year old son. The room is charming. The house is a restored century old mansion full of antiques. The host is very friendly and takes excellent care of us. Breakfast was very good, not expecting big selections like a big hotel, but everything is fresh and good. There is no hotel parking, but we found it easy to park on the street for free. Highly recommended if you want something different than a standard hotel.

Excellent house or castle and a stunning part of Portuguese history. The architecture is brilliant. It looks like a museum and is very quiet. The ladies taking care of the place are lovely people who are always willing to help or provide info. Large shared area with pool table and pool outside breakfast room with special decor makes you feel that other rooms from the 1900 s are rather bad and new bathroom with tub I think it's pretty dope the place and recommend it to everyone to get away from the routine and stress you get to live in town. Perfect location with free parking and you can walk everywhere because everything is close by. Excellent job dna cue and everyone is involved cheers.

Casa do correct mor was absolutely wonderful for my husband and I. The excellent location of the inn in the heart of the city is excellent. The entrance to this well-maintained inn has a very romantic atmosphere. We were welcomed with open arms by the queen and their wonderful daughter, who were extremely delightful. A few centuries later, the beautiful stonework, incredible windows, and exposed beams gave our time on the ponte de barca such a distinct feeling. Very friendly and accommodating. We had many discussions with the property's history and could converse in both French and English. The swimming pool had good maintenance and provided a refreshing break from the intense heat. The sun room is also stunning, and it's the ideal location for internet. We found the bed a little stiff, but that was a minor inconvenience in comparison to the house's beauty and authenticity. We will most definitely return. We had an amazing time.

We found this hotel to be good. Despite the fact that this hotel is close to the National Park, it is convenient to go there. There is free parking in a public parking area just a few hundred meters away. The staff is extremely friendly and is friendly. The front desk staff did their best to help, but she only spoke French and Portuguese. The hotel is in a good location and the free parking is in a public car park. When you enter, there is a lot of dark wood, but there is no tourist information center and a shop for walking equipment. The rooms are large and clean, but basic. No wifi, no telephone, no to, no kettle, and no fridge. The breakfast was bland. There is no croissants, toast, and muesli. The cupboards full of crockery that light up as you pass it is strange and dark.
