The employees here were always so pleasant and helpful. The room and the hotel were also very clean. The breakfast that they serve is very special. Also, they also have a fantastic cafe around the corner, with delicious pastries and espresso. And then, the cleanliness of the room and hotel are also very good.

This is our first trip to Portugal and was organized by a very friendly older couple. We had a great place and the rooms were perfectly nice. It was always nice to have windows that were open! An interesting feature is the modern glass elevator that goes up against the old rock wall. We will be back here.

Hotel Santos is an excellent choice for us because of its location, which is also great. My family and I had a wonderful experience during our stay. The family room was clean and served us nicely for the entire night, and we have three small children. The hotel's owners are nice, and the breakfast was delicious.

Hotel Santos is a rustic interior that contrasts to the modern architecture. Located in the city center, in the historic centre, it is ideal for walking through the main tourist attractions.

We were very pleased to discover such a charming, reasonably priced, and centrally located hotel after a long day on the road. Hotel Santos is essentially constructed against and among ancient fortifications. The main sights, cathedral, etc. are about a 34-minute stroll away at best. Although guard is a medieval town, the streets are rather narrow and generally circular, we had no trouble finding the hotel itself. Parking was a concern, but we were comfortably leaving our vehicle near the police station, about 200 meters from the hotel entrance. It is fee-free to park. As other reviews have stated, the room was fairly modest and instead of functional, it was focusing on function. Our room was exactly what we wanted, and we were really satisfied with it. There were several servers available to help you select what you liked for breakfast. There was a lot of options to choose from bread, croissants, toast, yogurt, cereal, etc. The top floor's setting, which was also attractive, was perfect for breakfast. Overall, it was a great visit for us, with no frills, but we enjoyed the location and small town vibe. The personnel was incredibly welcoming, and checking was simple despite the language barrier which is on us, we do not speak Portuguese.
