Overall, the property was great, and its location was excellent. We stayed at Europa room, and truly loved it. It was a small apartment, with beds located in the loft area, small kitchen, bathroom and sitting area in the main room. Ulitsa Marata is a rather central location, and even though this was located on the first floor and when the windows wer open one could hear the commotion, once the windows were closed, the room was super quiet. Our only complaint about the hotel is that they did not explain effectively the check in procedure. They are advertising themselves as a hotel, but they really aren't that. There is no reception area, no office, and no workers one sees. It is a rented apartment. When one arrives at Ulitsa Marata 25 (their listed address) one does not find anything. There is no sign saying "Sokroma Globus", and no door to knock at. We had a good luck that we were traveling with a Russian speaking person, who then found the hotel's phone number in the directory, called them, and alerted them that we were looking for our hotel. The hotel then sent a person to fetch us from the street, and bring us inside the building. I thought that was odd, as it was impossible to know that they were random apartments, and that there was no reception area where to check in. It would greatly help if the hotel indicated this unusual check in procedure on their hotel description. Maybe they should arrange for pick up of their customers, so that they don't routinely get lost.

What I liked : a clean, secure, well maintained apartment and the courtyard side, so quieter. The coffee, tea and water at will in the central part accessible to all with a microwave. Proximity of the metro. What I did not like: the number of the address that was needed. This is the second, next to the magsin "SubWay" and not the 25. So difficult to be understood in Russian. The floor of the entrance to the building of the property is bumpy (uneven, holes and lack of lighting). To be specified to the next travelers, that there is no elevator. The photo of the rental, does not fit at all. Instead of having a room and a mezzanine, we had 2 small rooms of 8 m2 and a mezzanine to connect it is 2 rooms. Let me explain: when you are in the first room, you have to go through the mezzanine to go to the second room. Alternatively, you go through the corridor. You have to know that there was the kitchen on one side with the dishes and the food and on the other side the dining table. It was really inconvenient to go back and forth through either the hallway or the mezzanine. It was sport and we were really cramped!
