This hotel is ok for a short stay or stopover. The location is a little out of the way but immovable to camp humphries. The rooms or neat and tidy with very friendly staff. Breakfast is a little hit or miss, but that depends if you're happy to forego Western style meals. Also, it appears to be a trend for most foods to be served cold or left to cool on the hot plates. The bed was a bit solid, but that's a personal point. A ok stay if you can get a cheap deal.

The atmosphere was so good with the power of the toilet, the fresh breakfast, the room quality, and the parking room. The food was so varied with the location. The area is very lively, close to camp Humphrey. But this hotel is very recommended.

The shuttle service to Humphreys stops twice in the morning and once in the evening. We were visiting family, so on most evenings we had to take a cab from outside the walk-in gate to the hotel, which cost $2.58 per trip. Despite my complete lack of Korean, we were able to reserve rides as needed. I did include a note in my wallet with our different destinations listed in both English and Korean, which was extremely helpful for taxi rides back to the hotel. Although the mattresses seemed hard at first, my wife and I slept soundly. We did have to dance around in the room because the mattresses took up most of the space.

The price is really reasonable. The fitness center was adequate for a quick workout. The breakfast was better than expected given the room price.

I traveled to Camp Humphreys at a time when many soldiers were arriving for their first test, so all the neighboring hotels were fully booked. The encore offers a shuttle service, making it simple to choose this hotel. The hotel doesn't have a dedicated shuttle rather, they ask you to sign up for the 0700 trip to post and the 1730 return trip the night before to arrange for drivers the next day. When the driver arrives at post to pick you up, they should have a magnet on their car with the Encore logo, but sometimes you just have to ask drivers outside the walking gate because you never know what the car will be and there are other hotels sending cars for guests. Hiring your own taxi for the trip costs between 40 and 00 dollars each way, which varies by day and time of day. Not all of the staff speaks English, but there are plenty who do speak English well, so I never have any major issues with languagecommunication. I had a wonderful time eating the breakfasts served each morning. The staff was always very polite and accommodating. This area isn't a touristy place, but a port town with more industrial characteristics. Due to this, there aren't many hotel options within walking distance, but there are a few restaurants that open after 1600 and a few khr convenience store.
