After a weekend of riot slaves visit, we just checked out of Carpe Diem. We had a great time and felt at home. Lira made our stay as warm and welcoming as if we had visited her auntie from riot. This is the place to visit if you want a personal touch.

We totally fell in love with this lovely casa rural. After giving up on finding a place to stay in Laguradia, we started driving on the roads hoping something would come up. Thats when we saw this small sign with the magical words of casa rural. This beautiful rustic place is in a very small and very beautiful village just outside Laguardia. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. You have a fantastic view over the wine yards from your balcony! The owners of the place are very kind, generous and helpful. When we arrived we were given a bottle of their own wine. They make their own olive oil, which is served with the best breakfast, and they also serve you a homemade cake.

We planned to stay for one or two nights, but we loved it so much we decided to stay for three nights in Spain. The hosts are very amiable. We started with a free wine tasting at their winery, a few blocks away, had breakfast included in the extremely reasonable rates, and had a very comfortable room with a great view. It is helpful to speak a little Spanish.

A small village named Navaridas in the Riot Vine Region. Only a few kilometers from Laguardia. The room was so romantic and had lovely traditional styling. Breakfast was okay with coffee, juice, ham and cheese on baguettes. good wine as well. The only issue we had was finding the place. The house doesn't have any road signs and the sign on the front wall is not very commercial which is nice but difficult to see. It's best to call in advance to check on your reservation.

We spent last year and returned this time with friends. Carpe Diem is tucked away in a tiny mountain village in the La riot region of spain, very close to Laguardia. As you enter the street where Carpe Diem is situated, you enter a beautiful courtyard with a small park and fountain. Carpe Diem is in the very right corner. This stone structure was built in 1744 and beautifully transformed into a lovely guest house. When it was built, the first floor stone entryway would have been the stables, but today it is a lovely entryway with a pleasant room to the right where you check in. Our hostess, Lira, was very friendly and accommodating, helping us to make ourselves understood due to her limited English and our very limited Spanish. She gave us the chance to select our rooms since we were the only guests. The plum room was painted cream colour and overlooks the courtyard. The vanilla room was painted creamyellow, and my wife swears it smells of vanilla, not sure how Lira did that. The linens on the bed and curtains appear to be handcrafted as are the towels. The dining room and breakfast room are on the ground level and, if you are european, overlook the courtyard, which the residents take great pride in keeping beautiful.
