When touring Gala National Park, aria tessa is a terrific spot to stay. In tessa, visitors are picked up on most safari trips. During his trip to buy fresh ingredients for guests, he checked with us on what we wanted to eat. He prepared us lunch and breakfast for the safari. The finest traditional Sri Lankan curry we've ever eaten, made us back when we got back home. On our final day, India brought us egg hoppers for breakfast, which was once more the finest we had before us. There were 4 egg hoppers in the house, but by the time I snapped a picture, we had already eaten two. Eat them as a tortilla wrap. When you're searching for a place to stay while touring Gala National Park, ARIA TESSA is the place to stay. Moreover, a spacious space and a luxurious bathroom.

We spent one night at the Ariatessa to see both Udawalawe and Gala National Parks. Tissamaharama can be a charming town, but the staff at Ariel Tessa made our stay one of the most peaceful moments of our vacation. This 2-room boutique hotel is owned by a local entrepreneur, India. Although parts of the hotel are expanding, we were never disturbed by the work being done. The rooms have been designed by an australian of Persian descent and are built and decorated with a minimalist oasis aesthetic, creating a retreat from the bustle of the outside world. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the linens were soft, the bed was absolutely comfortable, and the shower never ran out of hot water. The cinnamon diffuser was light when we arrived gave off a beautiful soothing aroma, and the air conditioner was crisp. India has considered how hotels and tourism impact the environment. His use of filtered water in sealed glass bottles to reduce the impact of plastic waste is just one example. What made this stay above and beyond was the food. India is a passionate cook, and at this hotel, we had our most memorable and best meals in Sri Lanka. Everything is made to order, his ingredients are fresh, his spices are perfectly blended and even though the food was cheaper than those found in the local restaurant, the effort made with every meal was extraordinary and worth every rupee

Set among rice paddies and lakes on a small street, the charming five-star decor and standard of the rooms stood in a stunning contrast to the thatched open-air kitchen. Our host, for three years of chef at Sri Lankan Australian Embassy was not only welcoming and helpful in turning up at the airport to pack breakfast for our safari, but also an outstanding and inspiring chef, a local like his staff, who insisted on using only fresh, locally produced produce. Wow!.

This is the only place I truly recommend to stay. After exploring Gala National Park, we stayed at the Aria Tessa for one night. The hotel is in a great location, which is why we had to leave early. Our host was very warm and could not have done more for us. We were treated to a lovely home-made sri lanka meal that our host had been out to get the ingredients for, especially all the sri lanka cuisine we ate during our trip, this Prawn Curry is unquestionably one of the best. We had a wonderful home-cooked meal again the following morning.

The hotel is currently re-laying the garden and floors, so it doesn't appear nice from the outside. But the rooms are great value, very clean and modern even by European standards. They spoke good English and helped us with any issues that came during our stay. What I particularly recommend is booking a safari tour through them. I did it because of recommendations before coming to sri lanka and I was not disappointed. The price was fair even without negotiations and the guide was great I think his name is nissanka. We saw leopards three times in one day, all because the guide knew where the leopard was likely to move and just waited in the spots, while other drivers were racing between themselves and missing most of the stuff.
