This is a new hostel that is incredibly good. You can walk anywhere for meals or shopping only taking a 2-minute walk to the beach, if that. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. We had so much fun chatting and learning about Sri Lanka at night. They make you feel right at home. The room was immaculate, everything worked well, including the wifi, and the showers were hot! I'll definitely come back.

I enjoyed my two nights at Heil Hostel. It is a beautiful, brand-new hostel that's perfect for entering Sri Lanka! It turned out that I was their first guest, and everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating with everything! They picked me up from the airport so I didn't have to manage anything after a long flight and could just sit in a perfectly clean and cozy 4 bed room with air conditioning. In the evening, Nisanta, who ran the restaurant before me, served me a delicious dinner with fish and vegetables. They told me that they will have a traditional opening the following day and that I would be happy to participate. So I could be a part of a very lovely ceremony in which family and friends wished Marina, the proprietor, good luck, blessed the house, and served delicious traditional meals. The next day, they drove me to town, where they showed me where to get a sim card and buy clothes, which was much easier and less expensive than going out alone. They also prepared a delicious breakfast with bread, eggs, coffee, and tea that gave a fantastic start to the day. Another benefit of the hostel is that it's close to the lovely, not crowded Negombo beach. Although it is not on the main road, it was very peaceful without the noise of the traffic. This hotel was very good, the location was strategic as it is close to the airport, beach, bars, and restaurants. The condition of the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Next time I will stay longer there.

I really liked staying at heil hostel. I and my girlfriend really liked it there. heil hostel is a very nice place in my opinion, especially for the owner and the employees. They always come to assist us if we have any questions or issues. They also took us on a city tour where they show us things we might not have experienced on our own. They were very kind to us! Even their chef can make it for you. All you have to do is purchase the groceries. It's a fantastic alternative to an expensive restaurant. The AC was included, as well as the ceiling fan, hot water, and a spotless linen in the perfect room. If you want to stay in Negombo, I would highly recommend staying at heil hostel! We will definitely be back the following time we visit Negombo.
