I lived near Daniel Park and visited frequently. But since moving away three years ago, I have not been able to return. We went on a sunday afternoon, the restaurant was very quiet and the waitress wanted to seat us next to the till area I asked if we could sit by the window almost all tables were empty after some thought we were given a window table. The restaurant has been decorated and looks fantastic. Starters were excellent, and mains were also lovely, though I preferred the steak pie being served individually rather than cut from a larger pie which creates a mass of uncooked soggy pastry. Desserts were disappointing. sticky toffee was a dry sponge and not very tasty! Pear and frangipane tarts seemed lovely, but the tart case had a day old taste and was soggy instead of crisp as it should be. My apparel spritz wasnt good as it was set down on the table in the wrong color and there wasnt enough patrol in the glass. Overall, we enjoyed a delicious meal, decent value, and Id try different desserts the next time and drink wine or bottled beverages rather than any cocktail.

Nice enough hotel with lovely rooms. Breakfast was decent, dinner was okay, and overall, good value for money. Although I was nearly awarded four stars, the restroom close to the reception was in a bit of a state in the evening, and it was still the same when I used them after breakfast. The staff was nice but they could use some training because they couldn't answer basic questions. They were very young and perhaps new to the job. Only minor adjustments are required to raise the rating. If I was in the region, I'd stop here once more.
