A beautiful guest house with a beautiful view across the water. The bedroom had a lovely sea view , comfortable bed and a lovely en-suite bathroom. There were many little extras but I particularly liked the Dunoon fine bone china cups , saucers and teapot a delightful way to enjoy a cuppa. Ken is a great host and seems to think of everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and a good choice available. We also enjoyed using the comfortable lounge which again had that wonderful sea view and were lucky enough to watch porpoises feeding offshore. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Douglas Park Guest house.

Dan greeted me at the door and was extremely pleasant. He clearly explained all the options we had and the rooms and how they handled breakfast in the morning. Everything went smoothly. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the bathroom was perfect for what I needed. The view was amazing from my room.

Ken is a wonderful host, the house was warm and welcoming, the room spacious and comfortable. There is a lounge with a fantastic view over the Firth of Clyde that we used. There is plenty of choice at breakfast and fresh fruit and the smoked salmon served with scrambled eggs were delicious. Neil was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We came to visit Benmore Gardens and this did not disappoint, the gardens were full of colour, rhododendrons and azaleas. If you want a quality stay, then book this guest house, Ken will ensure you have a good stay, with lots of local knowledge on places to visit and eat out at. We had a good meal at the Lorne in Dunoon and the coffee shop at Blairmore was lovely, porpoises swimming n the water opposite the coffee shop was a treat, so glad we followed Ken’s advice. Five star all the way

Our stay at Douglas Park was simply wonderful. From trying to spot dolphins out the windows at breakfast to warm welcomes from Tilly and Ken after a rainy day out. Ken is an absolutely wonderful host whose hospitality is exemplary! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Ken the owner is very helpful and the breakfasts were great. Ken is also happy to assist in any way to make your stay very enjoyable! We will stay here again when we come to Dunoon. Our room looked out over the water and the guest house is minutes from Hunters Quay ferry.

Beautiful place to stay and staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, look nice, and are really comfortable. The adorable little dog is an additional bonus! Will definitely stay here again on our subsequent visits to Dunoon.

Okay, there’s no pool or jacuzzi, but that’s not the point. Everything was just as it should be from Kenneth’s welcome to his establishment to my leaving two days later. The house is absolutely spotless top to bottom with everything the guest would need for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were well-cooked and tasty, and ample enough to set one up for the day. Bedroom was well-appointed, with numerous thoughtful details. The bed was comfortable with spotless bed linen. I will return!

The Douglas park is the best guest house I have ever stayed at. The rooms are decadent. The owners ken and Shona are fantastic hosts especially ken who simply couldn't do enough to please his guests. His cooking skills are top notch especially his smoked haddock and poached egg and his wife shona's home made marmalade... yum yum..6 stars 🌟

Excellent Bed and Breakfast , extremely clean and comfortable. Little touches like real napkins make this BnB stand out . The breakfast was superb ! Hosts are friendly and helpful. I will certainly be back and for a longer stay next time.

Directions: Douglas Park is 1 mile from Dunoon town centre on the seafront in the village of Kirn, just by the Church. If arriving by the Western ferry, turn left as you leave the terminal. The property is approximately half a mile along the seafront.Look out for the property's sign. It is grey with black writing and a yellow rose.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time.
