This lodging is a converted apartment(s) made into individual hotel rooms. There is a shared kitchen with full size refrigerator and freezer and couches and a dining space. I brought a silicone ice tray that I was able to put in the freezer so I had Icewater in my water bottles. The room was nice and the bathroom new and modern. The carpeting was a plush type residential carpet that was very soft. The location is great, right in the middle of city center. Everyplace I needed to go to was within a half mile walk. It can be a bit noisy on Saturday night with a few bars across the street but I brought ear plugs after seeing another review and it was fine. Be aware that the rooms are not handicap accessible. The first floor rooms are actually on what would be called the second floor in the states so you will have to climb at least one set of stairs. If you stay on the “2nd floor” you actually have two sets of stairs to go up. Also there are no staff at the hotel. You get a code for the main front door on the ground level and a code for your individual room. A change of towels appeared by my door on the second day. I would stay there again. I loved Inverness so much and enjoyed it so much more than Edinburgh. Everything is so peaceful without the huge crowds in the larger cities. I can’t wait to come back.

Definitely clean and sufficient for me traveling solo. Right in the heart of edinburgh with a taxi station/luggage storage below, next to it a market ,Highlander Cafe across the street w music, and the bus station and train station a 5 min walk , so very easy to manuever around. The place had a kitchen right out side and left of door to it, w a frig.etc . The housekeeping is only towels and toilet paper. The hike up 3 flights of stairs was amenable but steep. I liked the safety fire precautions they had rsp after being g in a fire in 2022. There was good communication with the owner who helped me a lot. Suggest you write the 2 codes down for there just in case your battery dumps. I would reccomend this place but next time a 1st floor bc of my over stuffed rolling duffle. Suggest you have solid wheels on it! Cheers! Ps moreover, There's a taxi driver i highly reccomend - Mike Morris at the taxi station .tell him inverarary mary ref. U! Hes a delight!

The rooms at the Jacobite House are perfect sized for those travelling light. The room has plenty of storage and very modern facilities. The shared kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, fridge, etc. Great for those travelling on a budget, or who want to meet other guests. The property is very close to the rail station and some excellent pubs!

Great hotel in a perfect location. Easy directions for entry. Room was spacious. Close to bars and restaurants which can be a little loud if noise bothers you. We would definitely stay again on our next trip.

It was very convenient to the Railway Station. Our only problem was the stairs as we are both in our 80s.

We love this place! It is cosy, comfortable, tasty, convenient location to city centre and train/ bus station! There is a fully equipped kitchen for each floor, where we can cook some comfortable meals ourselves! Highly recommended and look forward to visiting it next time if we visit the town!

We had a good one night stay here. The House is within a couple of blocks of both the bus and train stations. Just be aware that there is not an elevator; we dragged outer heavy bags up three flights. We were there in a beautiful summer Saturday night, so there was a lot of noise from parties down below; this is the only negative thing about this property and would likely not be as bad any other night of the week. There was a small well equipped kitchen on the third floor, but the second floor has a huge kitchen, sitting area and TV. We left our bags there for a couple of hours while we were out and about the next day. I would stay here again!

Very convenient location, right in the heart of Inverness. Close to some great pubs with live music which we really enjoyed. Nearby parking was expensive but it is in the city centre! Clean and comfortable for a one night stay.

Great central location complete with our own seagulls outside the window! Basically on the 4th floor - not a problem for us but might be for other people. Enjoyed our stay! There was a communal kitchen that we did not know about but might be helpful on longer stays.
