Amazing hotel. Stumbling distance from Waverly station, very quiet inside. Ideally situated for the Royal Mile, Princes Street. Free snacks and drinks - worth the whole visit! Beautiful room. Absolutely amazing place. Staff really helpful and attentive.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were well equipped and came with slippers. Many nice touches to make our stay special. Great mini-bar with snacks and beverage selection. I rarely leave reviews, but felt this one deserved the praise. P. S. Make sure you try the salted caramel fudge at the front desk!

An excellent hotel, an easy walk from the train station. Edinboro. Amenities include in room mini bar that's included, modern, clean rooms with all the features you can want. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful The breakfast buffet is not to be missed. Champagne's offered at every breakfast and the buffet itself is both includes hot and cold items.

Good location, excellent service, and a truly commendable breakfast highly. Rooms very quiet, despite the hotel being in the centre of Edinburgh. The rooms can be a bit on the small side, and having the hand wash basin in the hall is somewhat eccentric.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our recent trip. From the moment we were greeted with champagne to the voucher for more champagne in our room plus free snacks and drinks, to the excellent breakfast, again with more champagne, terrific rain shower, and great location in between New and Old town and just steps from the train and the airport bus, it exceeded all expectations! I’d absolutely stay here again next time I am in town.

Highly Recommended – Fantastic Location in the Heart of Edinburgh We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 6 Market Street and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The location is hard to beat—directly opposite Waverley Station and right in the heart of the city. Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Princes Street, excellent restaurants, and many of the city’s major attractions are all within easy walking distance. Our first room wasn’t ideal, but the team handled the situation exceptionally well and promptly moved us to a much quieter room without any fuss. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in during our travels. A unique bonus was the complimentary in-room minibar, which is replenished daily with drinks and snacks—a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The staff were always friendly, professional, and eager to help. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure the front-of-house team has a deeper knowledge of Edinburgh’s attractions, restaurants, and local amenities. In a city with so much history and character, knowledgeable hotel staff can add enormous value to a guest’s experience. Overall, an excellent hotel in a superb location, and we would stay again.
