Clean nicely proportioned room, comfy bed, nice cotton bedding, soft towels. Good shower with lovely hot water. We had a delicious evening meal. Breakfast was really good too. Good service. All cooked to order. Our dog was made very welcome. We recommend without hesitation.

Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. All staff were very friendly making for a relaxing stay. Evening meal was was also very nice ( I had the pie both nights, highly recommended) wine a bit on pricy side but I enjoyed it all the same!

Honestly the best hotel stay I have had in the Lake District. The hotel is the most dog friendly hotel I have ever came across. All of the team were attentive and welcoming. We will be returning and will be recommending to all our friends and family! ♥️🐾

Ravenstone Manor is perfect for this kind of holiday. It's the best place we've stayed. The house is amazing, the staff are brilliant, and the food was some of the best we've ever eaten. The location is also perfect, with different kinds of walks clearly highlighted by the staff and the car park safe and away from the road. We also really appreciated how dog-friendly it is, and how thorough they've catered for people travelling with pets.

Ravenstone is a stunning small hotel, with warm friendly and helpful staff. The room, which was at the front, overlooked the lake and Whinlatter Forest. It was very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated, which is true for the whole hotel. A particular favourite place in the hotel during our stay was by the wood burner in the sitting room. After a day out walking to come back and read there was just so relaxing. We ate out one evening but the following night had dinner at Ravenstone, which was really tasty with a good range of choices. It’s our second stay at Ravenstone, which says a lot as we don’t tend to stay in the same place more than once. As we drove away we said to each other that we’ll definitely be visiting again. It’s so well located, very relaxing, well managed and staffed and provides the perfect setting for time away from everything.

Wonderfully dog friendly hotel. Made us welcome from arrival, lovely staff, food and relaxing environment. Hotel has been well maintained and decorated yet retained many original features. The bed was super comfy!

This is a small independent, dog friendly hotel. Its quite old fashioned, but the fact that it is independent makes up for any minor flaws...the staff were brilliant, frindly and efficient.

Wonderful stay as always. The staff are so helpful and friendly. We had a roast dinner and the food was outstanding. I would recommend this lovely hotel to anyone and the fact your dog is welcome too is a huge bonus.

Room very warm & cosy, lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Not really a wardrobe but a small cupboard with hanging space!! Fab food, great breakfast but you can’t have a latte coffee at breakfast!! Also breakfast finishes at 9.45am even at the weekend! Lovely dining room and great bar. Definitely good value and lovely location. Xx
