This place has good potential. My last visit here before the pandemic was satisfactory. Unfortunately, not this time. The menu seemed good at first, but when trying to order what I wanted, they didn't have it in? I was also sad that my favorite little waitress had gone as she was the only staff member who was friendly and chatty, I used to go in almost every sunday because the place had a better atmosphere when she was gone. I wish I hadn't gone all microwave meals for sure because meat is always tasteless and the staff are miserable in telling their hearts aren't in the job. The blonde lady, however, seemed friendly enough. Even the pepsi was flat, so avoid it since it's merely a typical chain restaurant. Wishing you all the new owners!.

After a long day on the field, we initially went to the Red Lion Hotel Newborough for just a drink, but later remained for an evening meal. On this cold night, the staff was so welcoming and welcoming, the fire in the hearth was powerful, and everything, including the toilets, was immaculately clean! That is something I consider essential when considering eating somewhere. There are no stale food smells here either! I ordered scampi, chips, and a side dish. Scampi was delicious and the chips were so slick. All complimented by a lovely fresh mixed salad. My partner ordered rump steak, medium rare, or pinky red, and guess what it came perfectly cooked! We've been to so-called high-end restaurants that have failed to get it right, and the steak has a tendency to overcooked. Bravo, chef! Excellent selection of wines and draught beers as well! I could see how the staff works hard to make the customers feel at home, which can only be of benefit. Catrina, Mel, and a new member of the team forgotten his name during that evening, thanks to the staff and chef, who were there that night and who was still working while ensuring that everyone was taken care of. A destination that should not be overlooked, which has recently reached its best yet.

We are very satisfied with the service provided by the staff, especially the night owl katrina and Chris, and the early bird yvonne. All of them are very kind and helpful. The location is great, the pub and room need a taco, and they deserve it.

This pub is great. The bar staff is always willing to help and they can't do enough to help. The food is delicious and the drink is good. The weekly run poker night is the best in the north west and lots more to keep you entertained. If you're in the area, definitely visit and enjoy the atmosphere.
