Quite simply one of the best places we've stayed at. We chose this place for its location being within easy reach of a number of places we wanted to visit in Somerset - Cheddar Gorge, Shepton Mallet prison, and of course Bristol itself. The rooms are clean and modern, very comfortable and quiet. Plenty of attached parking, and the pub itself is cosy and welcoming. We had dinner there for one of the 3 nights we stayed, the food was excellent - I really enjoyed the Mexican-style burger, all the usual pub favourites are of course available. The breakfast was sumptuous, unlike other places where its normally a set option, we were given the choice from a separate breakfast menu - I enjoyed the 'full Temple', my partner enjoyed a spinach & cheese omelette. And most of all, the owners Adam & Lee were really friendly and wanted to ensure we were looked after, as were the bar staff and the lady serving breakfast in the morning. When we visit Somerset again we will definitely stay again - thanks very much!

Everything about this stay was perfect. Firstly the hosts were nothing short of incredible, very attentive, friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful, everything you need for a couple night stay. The food was amazing, we didn’t eat anywhere else because we knew the food was always going to be to a high standard and it was delicious. The dog was welcomed by everyone. We went to cheddar and wells which are both within good distance and worth the trip for! To top it off there is an on site car charger which really was a saving grace. Overall was a 10/10 stay! Would 100% stay here again and can’t recommend it enough! Thank you for a wonderful few days!

The room was clean and comfy and well designed. Had a meal in the restaurant on the evening and was delicious and really good quality. The breakfast was excellent, great produce and presentation although would liked to have had some fresh fruit or cereal as a choice.
