Warm and welcoming staff. Spacious and well lit room ( we had 2 Queen room)Great location from where all dining and shopping is walkable.Parking is free. Acadia Natl Park entrance is a short drive from here. The front porch with rocking chairs and throws provided was a nice touch. Nice breakfast options , especially the fresh berries and the make-your-own trail mix certainly had me giving this place a five star without hesitation! It’s the small things sometimes! Highly recommend!!

I can't say enough good things about the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Our room was exceptionally clean, recently renovated, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel's location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do in Bar Harbor. The complimentary breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and well-stocked each morning. The dining area was always spotless. Every morning, we were greeted by Josh, whose kindness and friendly personality made our day start on a positive note. He took great pride in ensuring that all breakfast items were fresh, fully stocked, and the display area looked appealing. Another wonderful touch was the daily afternoon treats offered to guests. In addition, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available 24 hours a day, which was greatly appreciated after a day of exploring. The Bar Harbor Grand Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bar Harbor.

Upon arrival I noticed how beautiful the property was. The staff was exceptional as we checked in, offering refreshments located in the breakfast area, even at 8:30 pm. The room was very clean, with plenty of space, robes for our comfort, as well as plenty of tea and coffee in the room with cream and sugar. There were large dresser drawers available for us to unpack as we stayed 5 nights. Bathroom towels were thick and plentiful as well as soap, shampoo and conditioner and lotion, with a very light refreshing fragrance. Like every other review, I will add that their breakfast is a welcome variety of eggs, meats, fruit, breads, coffee cake, yogurts and cereal. So delicious and the breakfast staff so kind to everyone. We would definitely stay again.

Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed, and I've stayed in plenty of pricier ones in the US and abroad. One of my pet peeves in hotels is improper lighting. Some hotels seem to think people want "mood" lighting, as if nobody needs good light to put on contact lenses or women to put on makeup. The room had excellent lighting with one exception. The bedside lamp was a sconce on the wall that worked with a light switch that you had to get out of bed to turn off. So if you like to read until you fall asleep, bring a clip-on reading lamp for your book. Aside from that, the room was beautiful, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the location was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The only views out the window are of the parking lot or the street, so if an ocean view is important to you, this is not the hotel for you. I'm an avid outdoors person, so a hotel room for me is for sleeping and hygiene. I get my views outdoors and there're no shortage of them on Mt. Dessert Island, but if shopping and dining is your thing, all of downtown Bar Harbor is right outside your door, walking distance. No need to drive and try to find a place to park (good luck with that during peak season and it's not free anymore). I loved it and it will be my place to stay whenever I visit Bar Harbor and Acadia NP.

Stayed for three nights & Best place to stay in town, park your car at the hotel and walk around the town and beach! Parking in town is not free and hard to find a spot. The hotel provides best breakfast including fresh fruit and yogurt and other healthy foods not an ordinary continental breakfast! Lovely start members and guests as well!!!!l Absolutely best experience!

Wonderful experience, at a great location. Parking was easy and the room was very comfortable. Easy walk for sightseeing and the harbor piers are close too. Breakfast was excellent. Good place to stay.

This was a perfect choice, right in the middle of Bar Harbor. A really great breakfast, which is open for a nice long time so you can either get out early to explore Acadia or lounge around the hotel. The veranda outside is great too. Rooms were clean and spacious. And the cookies in the lobby some afternoons were fantastic!
