LONG REVIEW ALERT! The only disappointment was breakfast, it wasn’t bad, just expected more, otherwise, this place was a PLEASANT surprise. My family stayed here, years ago, before it was renovated, and it was enjoyable then as well. Every year we have a family reunion, in the next county, so we are always in VA. We usually travel two counties over; which, is further away from the festivities & family. I finally was able to book here, for a great price and it was well worth the stay. Although we didn’t stay long enough to really enjoy the pool, however, it was nice and the wood canopy helped with the coverage from the sun. If you are looking for a place to stay, for comfort, cleanliness, courteous, friendly staff, and convenience, this is your place.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel appreciated. The room was pretty clean and the bed was firm but comfortable. None of the power outlets on the bedside end table worked. The available power outlets were very minimal. The room had what we needed and we were comfortable. The continental breakfast was appreciated and filled our need. The check-in and check-out process was easy. Overall, we enjoyed our short stay and were comfortable. Keep up the good work!

Stayed for 1 night for a trail race in Farmville. As others said, it’s older but they’re doing a lot of updating. Good deal for the price. Comfortable bed and the shower was great. Didn’t pack a swimsuit or else I would’ve jumped in the pool - it was big.

While the place is an old motel the owners have done a great job of updating the inside with high end sink bowls and ceramic showers. The continental breakfast always included biscuits and gravy as well as waffles and other options. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and answer any questions.

The 2 ladies were very nice at check in and check out. The room was ok. The bed and linens were comfortable. No hot water in shower or sink. The tub and sink were clean but the walls and floors need help. The room had a very strange odor like it had been smoked for years but then not really covered up but just there. Thank goodness it was cool so we didnt have to run the heat or ac. The coffe and bagels the next morning were a nice treat.

Someone has put some serious money and love into renovating this hotel. The rooms were beautiful! The new wood flooring was sooo nice looking, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, ac worked great, nice new light-blocking shades that pulled down with a chain, huge beautiful circle mirror in the bathroom. We didn’t have an iron in the room but we hung up the graduation gown and used a hair dryer to release the wrinkles so it worked fine. The bathtub stopper wouldn’t close for us, I asked the front desk lady for help and she came right over and got it to work just fine. The breakfast was great… I didn’t expect there to be bacon, but there were scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, waffles, biscuits, muffins, bagels, cereals, no juice or milk but they did sell some in the fridge/market. They had a lot of jelly flavors, cream cheese, syrup, butter… plenty of everything. Absolutely a GREAT experience. I work at a hotel so I was going in with a mental list of things to look for, but not one single thing was out of place. It was a PERFECT stay!!! Would definitely stay there again!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really nice and helpful staff. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was one of the best complimentary breakfasts out there. Not much close by, but there's a restaurant on the property.
