If you've been to a Gaylord Hotel, this one falls in line. Massive waterpark that's absolutely the centerpiece. Absolutely recommend for younger families, especially, as there's a children's pool and lazy river that are great. It sits across the street from the San Diego Bay, but there really is no water access. Closest beach is either Imperial Beach or Coronado. Extremely easy access, with two exits off I-5. Just be prepared for expensive parking and expensive dining if you choose to stay on the property. Minutes away from other restaurant options in Chula Vista. One piece of advice, get a room that faces the bay. EXCELLENT VIEW! The other side of the hotel faces an empty, bare lot and the freeway, so I'd have been disappointed if I'd had this side. Only real complaint is it's a long walk from the room to the parking garage. Not sure how thought out that was in planning it.

This trip was planned to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We wanted to enjoy the Waterpark, which is absolutely amazing. The waterpark has so many things to do. Lazy river, wave pool, family pool, waterslides. My daughter and her friend had such an amazing time. The room we had was a standard room with 2 queen beds over looking the water. Great view, very comfortable beds. We had an amazing 2 days at this beautiful Hotel. The staff was very helpful in every aspect of the hotel. All in all the Gaylord did not disappoint, and hopefully we can enjoy it again soon.

Our family had an amazing stay at the hotel! The kids absolutely loved all of the water amenities, and there was so much for them to do throughout our visit. We also really enjoyed the variety of dining options, which made meals easy and enjoyable for everyone. It was a fun, family-friendly experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

My family had the best time we were there for my son's 18th birthday. You were able to get pool passes for his friends to come and rented a cabana. Service people at the cabana were amazing it was the most relaxing time ever. The food at the restaurants were excellent. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We did not utilize the parking because we were locals and just took an Uber. Staff offered us early check in when we arrived it was a wonderful time and I hope we could do this annually.

Our family has stayed at the Gaylord Pacific Resort twice already, and we’re planning another visit this summer. It’s become one of our kids’ favorite vacation spots! They could spend all day enjoying the lazy river, wave pool, and water slides. One of the highlights of every trip is the breakfast buffet. While it’s on the expensive side, the quality and variety make it worth the splurge. There are so many delicious options, including a made-to-order omelet bar, a crepe station, fresh pastries, our favorite French yogurt, and even a hot chocolate bar. My kids even look forward to the fun little details, like the teeny tiny bottles of Tabasco at the buffet. If you’re looking for a fun family getaway, this resort has plenty to keep both kids and adults entertained. We’re already looking forward to our next stay!

The hotel room was very clean, tidy and neat. Sheets and beddings including pillows were soo comfortable. The room was designed thoughtfully in every aspect to make it very useful for guest. I love that the bathroom is not the typical bathtub/shower instead its actually a shower. Appreciated the shower floor designed as slip proof. Staff were very accomodating to guests needa anytime. Buffet breakfast has a variety of options. Kids went to the pool right after checking in and was a bit disappointed with the number of towels left in every chair and garbages of food trays everywhere. It was i. The afternoon around 5pm so I totally understand but the reason being i felt was that garbages are not conveniently located everywhere on the pool area considering how big the area is. There was only 1 place to return towels which is only at the entrance so maybe that is one reason why towels were everywhere as well? Overall though, it was a pleasant and memorable stay. Definitely go back.
