Overall, my stay was great. The location is excellent and centrally located in a great part of Downtown Chicago. Although my room view (City View) was very obstructed, the room itself was nice and the shower was amazing for a standard room. The staff and valet were very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

I stayed at the Royal Sonesta North for my birthday and it was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. The customer service at the front desk from the time I walked in, I was greeted and even given a bottle of wine for my birthday. We stayed in the Junior suite and the room was perfect. It was clean, housekeeping did an amazing job everyday making sure of that and the bed was so comfortable. I really loved the jacuzzi in suite and it got put to use every night. Housekeeping made sure that was also very clean. The gentleman who took our bags up gave us the best food recommendations in the area. Chicago food is top tier anyway but we really appreciated that on the first night. The hotel isn’t sitting on the river walk so the view is of the city and that was perfectly fine. It also was in walking distance of so many things and that saved a lot on Ubers even though we used the hotel valet. Overall I would stay here every time I visit Chicago. The hotel is beautiful! The restaurant and bar were so nice, it always smelled amazing and the customer service was 10/10!

So the property was beautiful. Staff was very hospitable and helpful. But unfortunately, this establishment has a lot of hidden fees and they are not upfront with their pricing on rooms so unfortunately because of their shady practices I would never stay here again!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. We ate only one meal there but the breakfast choices were wonderful. Be advised that the car parking valet service is a 3rd party, not hotel staff. Still, they were as prompt as possible given volume and the process was seamless. Our overall experience was great and we'd stay at the Royal Sonesta again!
