I like staying at Marriott’s Timber lodge since it is the center of Heavenly village . I can walk a few steps and everything is right there - the gondola base , many great restaurants of my choice , gift shops , clothing shops , transition centers, and the express market …. Also Lakeside beach is only 3 blocks away. Inside the room, it has a microwave, refrigerator, and silverware so I can cook something quickly for breakfast before heading to my tours .

We had an incredible time at the Timber Lodge. Room was spacious and very clean. Access to the shops and restaurants at Heavenly was so convenient. Rob, the activities coordinator, took us on a personal hike through Van Sickle as no one else signed up and we had a wonderful time. All around one of our best experiences staying at a lodge.

This was a great hotel and celose to lots of great shops and restaurants. We spent one whole day exploring the places around the hotel. Centrally located so your could easily get to either side of the lake. We would definitely stay there again.

We continue to come back to the Timber Lodge because the facility and location are outstanding as well as all the staff that works here. Not much to complain about because it is clean, comfortable and well equipped both inside and outside the room. Couldn't ask for a more enjoyable experience in South Shore. Oh, and the restaurants are great also and easy walking distance.

My favorite place to stay. Perfect location and the place is spotless and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and bake ware. The prices at the lobby market for eggs and other things to cook are reasonable.it was easy to order safeway delivery as well.

We stayed at Marriott’s Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe and honestly had such a great experience. The location is unbeatable right in Heavenly Village and walking distance to everything, which made the whole trip so easy and fun. The room felt more like a cozy little cabin than a hotel, with plenty of space and everything we needed. Having a kitchen and comfortable living area made it perfect for relaxing after a long day out. The property itself was clean and well kept, and the pool and hot tubs were such a nice bonus. One of the best parts was just stepping outside and being so close to the gondola, shops, and restaurants. It really gave that full Tahoe experience without needing to drive everywhere. Only thing to keep in mind is valet-only parking, but overall it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely come back it was the perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and that cozy mountain vibe.
