We normally visit Cape May, but we came across Port Royal and decided to try it. We are incredibly pleased with our decision. We stayed for 2 nights. The port royal is very well run, and the staff is very friendly. We got a basic hotel room, which was small but beautifully planned. The private balcony was wonderful, and the room is nicely equipped. The beach here is perfect, I can't wait to return next year.

In the middle of June, I stayed here, and it was fantastic. The establishment was kept tidy, and the employees are pleasant. In summer, the water here can still be a little cool, but they have a lovely heated outdoor pool that was great for swimming, as well as a lovely pool deck with plenty of tables, chairs, and umbrellas. At the hotel's core, a restaurant looked good, but we didn't try it. We stayed in an oceanfront room, and it had a lovely view, and it was nice to sit on the balcony and watch the water. The lodgings were a little cramped for five, but it worked. The kitchenette had a basket-style coffee maker, microwave, a 34-size refrigerator, and a stove top. The wifi was decent, and we were able to check emails and watch several videos on it without any issue. The only drawback, and it's actually pretty minor, is that the televisions were quite small for the space. Based on the room's layout, I believe maybe 37 inches in length and quite tiny when looked from the bed or couch. It would be nice to upgrade to a larger size 50 inch later. But that's just a tiny thing, and I would consider returning here in the future to revisit.

We have stayed at the Port Royal before but this was our first visit at the end of September. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was extremely clean and everyone was very friendly. The view from any room is great and the food at the hotel restaurant was wonderful. We count the days until we can return next year.

It was a weekend trip with a friend and we were given two separate beds. When we checked in, we learned that they gave us a room with a king bed that wasn't going to function. They were sold out for the night but greg the manager called another party who was scheduled to check in and they were kind enough to change rooms with us. Thank you greg for the excellent customer service!.
