My wife and I came here and were greeted by the proprietor, so we asked the wife for the key to inspect the room before we decide to actually stay here. I went to the room with him and looked around. The whole property is very old and in need of some repairs but it's nothing unreasonable. I looked quite far under the bed and box springs where it's dark and bed bugs will live, and it was also clean and no signs of bed bugs. Then I picked up a clean hand towel and ran it under the corner of the bed and it came out clean, I also looked like he did see a lot of hair. 68 cameras were at the parking lot and I think it's good because it's so old and not in good condition but it's clean, he could use the wifi password and he added two additional pillows that he provided when we made a reservation on the website just 10 minutes after we checked in. He also gave him the benefit of the doubt. Because the area is definitely a dirty and dingy place, I never felt unsafe there. But there are a lot of homeless around, but they seem to maintain their own selves most of the time. The room looks clean and looks tidy, so I pulled the corner of the bed and it was clean and white. I'm going to say that this business getting 4 stars is entirely based on how clean the room was. We were skeptical while staying here because of the reviews on here and other sites. We went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Im glad we did. Although the neighborhood is definitely run down and dirty, I never felt unsafe there. However, there are some decent amount of homeless around, but they tend to stay to themselves mostly. When we arrived, the owner welcomed us. The wife asked to see the room before we decided to stay here, the owner was completely cool with that and gave her the room key. I went to the room with her and looked around. The whole property is very outdated and in need of renovations, but that's nothing unreasonable. The room appeared clean enough, so I pulled up the corner of the bed, which was clean and white. The sheets were clean and white. I looked a bit far below the bed cover and the bed, where it was dark and bed bugs will live, and it was clean too. I ran it over the bedside bed and under the pillows, which were dark, like where bed bugs like to hide as well. It again came out completely clean. The owner brought the two additional pillows I requested when I made the reservation on the website within 10 minutes of us checking in. He also provided the wifi password right there on the spot.
