They room was very clean, the staff was accommodating and friendly. The morning breakfast was good and plenty of coffee. The only negative was the hot tub was not available but the pool was open.

The only reason I didn’t give it five stars on amenities because the pool was really cold even though it’s an indoor pool and the hot tub wasn’t filled or working. Also, on Sunday morning they ran out of scrambled eggs at 7:15 in the morning and the breakfast was open till 9 AM. Otherwise I would highly recommend staying there. It’s a well run family operation.

The accommodations were great! Breakfast was amazing with eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagles, juice, etc. ABOVE AND BEYOND! It was amazing! The room was huge! Nice and clean. Tall shower with good water pressure and nice hot water. Staff were very friendly. GREAT VALUE! THANK YOU!

Great experience. Very clean. We had an issue with the air conditioner in one of our rooms. They were very polite and came up to our room immediately to try to fix it. When that didn’t work they gave us a new room and offered to help us move our stuff. They apologized multiple times and made sure the room they moved us too had a working air conditioner. Very spacious and clean rooms. Very comfortable beds.

Easy parking, worth driving a little further into our trip to get past more expensive black hills hotels. Good options for the continental breakfast including toppings for oatmeal, hard boiled eggs and biscuits and gravy. Friendly staff and clean, maintained property.

What a great hotel! Right off the highway. Super friendly staff. You can tell it is run by a family that cares. Very nice, large clean rooms. Pool was nice but cold. No working hot tub. We would definitely stay here again.

I traveled from Michigan to Oregon. My stay at the Serena was wonderful. Staff was incredibly helpful. The room was comfortable. I was able to wash my laundry while swimming in the nice indoor pool. The laundry was located in a small room very close to the pool which was peaceful, nicely lit and in a beautiful cedar poolroom. This was a very pleasant stay. Location is very convenient with the added bonus of being near some lovely trails. The continental breakfast was diverse and had fresh food: a departure from the typical highly processed foods at hotels. I felt very safe as a solo traveler here. I highly recommend this spot
