For a 140 year old hotel, the Delaware is charming! Staff exceptional, restaurant inside which made it handy during a heavy snow. Delicious!

The room was great, really loved the old furniture and art. The coffee stand was operational, so was able to get espresso in the lobby (but free coffee was also available right outside our door). And, with the restaurant right downstairs, we rarely needed to leave the building. We were there for a ski day at Cooper, so very convenient for that.

Was a pleasant stay. Had a mishap with my pizza, but Alex (front desk) made it right right away without hesitation. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms :(. The gentlemen that checked me in didn't hesitate to help me with my luggage to the 3rd floor (no elevators and very steep stairs). The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were even more awesome than the bed. Walls are thin, but didnt have any issues with other guests getting quiet at a reasonable time. The showers are really small so hard to maneuver in them and the water will got extremely hot multiple times out of now where, but goes back to norm pretty quickly each time. 4 outta 5

The hotel really did a nice job with the renovation in the restaurant and lobby. It's modern, but cozy. The room was great with a high ceiling. The floors squeaked a bit, but hey, it's an old hotel. It's part of the charm!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this little g of a hotel. Cozy, moody, historic, haunted (supposedly) with the nicest staff and the most comfortable rooms. The shower has lots of really hot water and great water pressure. The rooms were quiet, the food was delicious. Walking distance to the Leadville train, shops, restaurants, and bars. What an unexpected treat! Ask the for a print out of all the haunted rooms! Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We loved everything about it. It was so clean and perfect. Be aware, there are no elevators. They do intend to add them next summer. I wouldn’t recommend for mobility limited guests.
