It is a 125 year old property, kept up, but not modernized. Not for everyone, but I loved it. A great value!

A great property that takes you into the past. Its not your average big city hotel so dont come expecting that. My biggest complaint would be everything in town shuts down at dark and i wiah the hotel sold sodas amd snacks. We had to deive 40 minutes to get a coke at 730pm. We would stay here again. The staff was amazing

We arrived at the hotel before they received the reservation notice from Expedia; therefore did not have our reservation but made room for us and gave us an upgrade with our own bathroom. Very nice and accommodating!! Friendly staff and very clean hotel and rooms with a lot of interesting history :)

In a charming small town off interstate 94, the Kempton Hotel offers friendly staff, a good nights sleep and a no frills continental breakfast. Walking distance to Legion hall for cocktail and dinner, and to Evelyn Cameron gallery and county historical museum.

What an absolute gem of a property! I love everything about this hotel. It's been beautifully updated but also retains its century-old charm. The staff is wonderful, the bed and linens perfectly comfortable. Will stay here every time I pass through this part of Montana.

Clean with comfortable bed and wonderful towels. It is small, but it was built for another time. We had a good meal across the street at Roy Rogers and a good sleep. We left by 7:30 and we had to ask for some half and half for coffee (powdered creamers available- yuck). Overall, a fine place for an overnight.

This hotel is exactly as described. It is a very old hotel with lovely quirks. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel, you will be disappointed. If you are looking for a unique experience with an open mind and love antiques, the hotel is wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The town really has nothing to do and the only food is across the street at the bar. The food was good and reasonably priced. The only complaint is that for a VERY small town, there is a lot of noise on main street and mufflers are optional. While the hotel has no control over this, we have opted for other options if we pass this way again.

If you are looking for a modern facility, don't go here and turn around and give a bad review. If you enjoy a nostalgic stay in a historical building with it's old time feel, come here. The rooms and beds were comfortable. The decor was cute and appropriate for the old building. It was a fantastic stay in a friendly place with the unique traits of an old building. I will go back again the next time we head that way.
