We were in town for a wedding and it was our first time staying at a hotel in Roanoke. We’ll definitely be booking here again. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. It appears the hotel is undergoing some renovations, so I’m sure it will be even better once the work is complete. The location is excellent, with coffee shops nearby and plenty of convenient parking. The staff was warm and welcoming, and we were even offered complimentary cold bottled water as soon as we checked in. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Very nice hotel, with excellent staff. Comfortable bed, wifi does sign you out after a certain time. Checking in can be problematic, the loading zone was full of cars when we arrived.

My husband and I stayed one night, along with friends and had an excellent stay. Staff was professional and the location can't be beat. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and we got a good night's sleep. The hotel is surrounded by shopping and restaurants, so no need to drive anywhere. We will return.

We live just up the road off 81 but went down to Roanoke for the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel just opened and was impressive from the start! I received a message welcoming us and letting us know where the entrance was and giving instructions for the parking garage which is conveniently located just down the street. The check in was quick and simple and were welcomed by a friendly smile. The room was clean and the amenities such as robes, retro style refrigerator and even blue tooth speaker. The soaps and shampoos and lotions from Molton Brown were tremendous. When we checked out the next morning we were provided with great coffee and wonderful, fresh muffins and pastries. It was also mentioned to us that the parking was good for the entire day if we wanted to explore downtown. When I received the receipt by email Candace thanked us for choosing Promissory to celebrate with it anniversary which I thought was so kind. We look forward to experiencing the restaurant that will be opening soon. It was a 5-Star experience and plan to return soon! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This hotel is wonderful. In a great location and has better rates than the Hampton around the block. And in my opinion is a better hotel. Do yourself a favor stay there You won't regret it

It is a lovely hotel. The room was new and well-appointed with some of the old bank building charm. It's upscale while being quaint and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor. The room had amazing upper windows. Very cool! The staff was lovely. Very accommodating and friendly. The location is ideal, right in the middle of town. We were very happy to stumble upon the Promissory Hotel!

The suite was spacious, beautifully designed with a simple elegant style, and felt more like staying in our own luxury apartment than a hotel. We loved the premium amenities, especially the Molton Brown products, quality tea and coffee setup, and the very comfortable beds. The complimentary bakery each morning was also a lovely touch. What made the stay truly special was the exceptional service. Every staff member made us feel welcomed and cared for, creating one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The location is perfect as well — right on the downtown main street and easy walking to many the attractions. The parking is not attached to the hotel but only a minute walk. The guest can park in front of the hotel for checkin before go to park the car. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again
