This place was a self contained all inclusive stay. We got in at 7pm. We were greeted with a welcome bag and shown our rooms. We had a family cabin on the river as well as the family suite above the restaurant. The cabin was stocked with everything needed, dishes, fire pit and bar b que tools, silverware, pots pans, etc. The family suite was equally impressive with multiple bedrooms and a separate living room with a sleeper couch. The resort has fishing in the river, water play, hammocks, kids games, ample restrooms on the property and much more. They also have a full service restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We never left the property our entire stay.

While on a 12 Day Rd. trip this was our best find. It was fun and well laid out and the accommodating to families, as well as well appointed for a romantic stay. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, extremely clean and inviting. With the restaurant on site it made the stay complete. Not to mention being so close to the scenic attractions in the area. Plan to return someday.

Upon arrival, this cute little place looks ok, but once you start exploring and receive the welcome bag etc. it's so fun and adorable. The cabin style motel room was rustic but sweet and just right. But the best part was the FOOD, so don't miss eating dinner there! So glad we waited till we arrived to eat - large portions, but also delicious, and includes ice cream .... then roasting your marshmallows over one of the campfires for s'mores, which is provided. We left the back door open with screen, to hear the babbling brook all night. Then off to Yosemite the next morning. So fun!

We really enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to returning again next time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was bountiful and tasty. Room was nice. Enjoyed having patio access. We were given fish food to feed the trouts raised in their tanks. We walked around the property to see the cabins near the creek. Overall a very good place to stay.

This is a special place with private access to the mountain stream. There are lounging chairs next to the stream, where you can enjoy it the rushing water. The rooms are basic but have everything they promised they would. There was a small portable A/C, which was more than enough.

Safe, affordable, nice accommodations for campers and great location. Only stayed one night but beds very comfortable and even had heaters if we got cold. Will come back for longer stay next time.

This property has cabins to stay in. There is a fish hatchery on the property where you can feed the trout. Each cabin has its own fire pit. There is a restaurant located on the property.

Virginia Creek Settlement is the perfect place to stay while visiting Bodie State Park and Mono Lake. Cabin was cozy with just the right amount of room. The creek runs right by the cabins so bring earplugs if you don’t like “white” noise. We found it soothing. We received a “goodie”bag on check-in. Coffee pods and cups for the coffee maker and supplies for SMores. There is a fire pit next to the cabin. Our cabin had its own bathroom. Smaller cabins share bathroom and showers. The restaurant has a good menu and the service was good.

Comfortable beds. Relatively quiet. Once in a while a truck from the road would slightly be heard. Room was clean and presentable. I would stay here again when in the area.

Super cozy place, the staff was super nice! The hut was cozy, but is was a bit cold (as they also warn you about, so no surprises there!). The grounds are very nice with fireplace and games, and a beautiful little river. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful place close to Yosemite. Rustic and spacious rooms, friendly staff that even gave us fish food to feed the trout there. Lovely porch to sit outside. Also included great grounds with campfires and smore ingredients as well as super fluffy and warm blankets to sit outside. Delicious restaurant onsite as well. Would go back again if ever in the area.
