Overall very enjoyable stay! Very kind and helpful employees with the front desk, breakfast, and cleaning. We had a king room, which had a good view of the bay on the balcony (pictured, unfortunately weather was cloudy the weekend so didn’t get good sunsets though plenty of potential for beautiful ones on a clear day). Hot breakfast was varied, typically waffles and biscuits, a type of egg, type of breakfast meat, as well as fruit, yogurt, granola bars and stuff like that. Could get breakfast to go and eat it on the balcony for a peaceful start to the day. AC worked good, room was clean, had no problems with noise or disruptions from other guests, pool is open almost any time and right on the bay, overall all was good!! It is a bit far for biking to the beach, but it’s a bit far from really any hotel as you have to drive through the nature refuge.

This was our third stay at the Waterside Inn, because we love the clean, homey feel of it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the free breakfast is a plus. Cara, the breakfast server is so friendly, welcoming, and doesn’t let you go away hungry!

Room was clean and had a nice view. Only 1 wash cloth and 2 towels there when we arrived (4 people in room.) Had to wait until morning to get towels because office closes at 10pm and we got in late. Staff was great, very kind and accommodating.The person who serves the breakfast was awesome. Breakfast itself was so so, but my kids loved the waffles. We loved the outdoor pool and that it stays open until 1am. No lights on the fishing pier at night. AC worked very well. All in all, a great stay and we would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Waterside Inn! Overall, it was a great place to stay and we’d definitely come back. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. The property and amenities were very well maintained, and everything felt clean and inviting. Our favorite amenity by far was the private pier—we spent a lot of time fishing and crabbing there, and it really made our trip extra fun. Not to mention the STUNNING sunset views. The only minor issues we noticed were that there was a tissue left in the peephole of our room, which we assumed was from a previous guest, and we found a few hairs on the towels that had been provided. However, when we requested fresh towels, the staff had them readily available with no problems at all, which we really appreciated. We didn’t get a chance to try the complimentary breakfast because it’s served from 7:00–9:00 a.m., and we never managed to wake up that early while on vacation! Other than that, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend Waterside Inn to anyone visiting Chincoteague.

The hotel was at great location with easy access to beach and restaurants. The pier that’s part of the hotel definitely needs some railings as it increases chance of accidents especially at night.

Breakfast was great! Cannot complain about our stay. Rooms were clean and amenities were nice. Close proximity to everything and could walk through town for food. Loved the balcony definitely a nice view. I also loved the dock, great seating down there. I’d recommend taking breakfast to go and sitting out by the water

From check-in to check-out this was such a positive experience. There was a pleasant warm greeting along with minimal check-in paperwork, directions for breakfast and wi-fi were provided as well as information about the inn property. Room service was available but not invasive. The property was lined with the most beautiful varieties of roses. The balcony faced the bay and sunsets. The pier was well kept. The pool was clean and open late (til 1am!). There was a group of picnic tables and a few grills for guest use. Breakfast was small, but sufficient to start the day. I look forward to our return to Waterside Inn!
