Amazing place right on the Zambezi! New/beautiful construction with clean and comfortable rooms. Staff is incredibly helpful and they are able to arrange and coordinate any activities (guides falls tours, rafting, fishing, day trips to Chobe NP, etc.). Location is only minutes from Victoria Falls (town) and VFNP. Perfect spot…would definitely go back to!

The architecture is fantastic. The location on the banks of the Zambezi is fantastic. The property exudes quality, luxury and comfort. The staff was super friendly and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Spending time at the hotel was as exciting as going out to do activities and coming back to our room was so satisfying every time. The dining area was particularly epic with the ultra high ceilings and decor fit for royalty, making breakfast in particular, an occasion to look forward to. We would stay here again. Well done Palm River Lodge!

The hotel was clean, modern and had everything we expected. We had a great time there, especially with Prince Gumbo at the restaurant and Tino at the activity desk. He went above and beyond to fulfill all of our demands. Prince Gumbo was our restaurant server. His attention to detail was impeccable. During breakfast and dinner, he even took gorgeous photos of us. Tino helped us arrange tours and answered all of our inquiries. She is very kind and has excellent customer service. I heartily suggest staying at the Palm River Hotel.

We traveled as a couple and stayed here for two nights when we arrived from Europe. The hotel has a beautiful setting and is built around trees, giving off a genuine bush feel. The rooms are gorgeous and have all you need. The staff, food, and service were excellent and always a smiling face catering to your every need. We really enjoyed the morning bird watching cruise and our guide elias' knowledge and experience, as well as a relaxing spa massage. Spectacular sunsets from the seating area near the river with a wide selection of sundowners to choose from. There is a ceiling fan and air conditioning, but because the riverside, the room is still full of mosquitoes at night and there are no mosquito nets. We went in July, which is winter, so I expect this to become even more relevant in the summer. Bug spray is provided in the room.

I would not return. We were placed in block 3 on the third floor, one of the furthest rooms, and the view of the river was through the trees! The hotel appeared to have fewer visitors. Disappointing because it advertises a regular shuttle bus. This wasn't the case when we stayed there, we were told one taxi ride there and back once a day, and we had to inform our driver when we wanted to return. It's a long distance from town. The swimming pool was out of commission, but then there was a hike to the pool from our room. Food was tasty. Staff courteous. The main entrance and dining area's decoration is wonderful.

The hotel is set against a beautiful river. We had a fantastic experience, seeing the monkey and elephant visitors. It was wonderful to have many of our meals prepared at the restaurant, which is one of the best in the area. Prince, one of the servers, was a unique feature because he made us feel very welcome and we had a great time communicating with him.

On our way to an Okavango Delta safari, we spent two nights here. Lovely and tastefully designed grounds and communal spaces. A warm and welcoming staff. Excellent restaurant service and superb cuisine All rooms face the river and have balconies, which are excellent. There is no hefty menu, but everything we ordered was delectable. Highend feeling with inventive and thoughtful cuisine. The first round of complimentary minibar items was excellent. We came after a lengthy travel from the us and were exhausted, so the minibar was a pleasant place to have some refreshments as we settled in. They also provide a shuttle to the town and the falls. You must reserve your shuttle, would have preferred if they only had a few per day at set hours, but that is not the case. It seems they don't have their own dedicated shuttles, but a number of local companies operate. However, it is not a big deal, the receptionists are fantastic and try to accommodate requests. It's best to make reservations in advance if you have your heart set on any of the victoria Falls activities. We were just passing through and had no idea how jet lag or possible flight delays or cancellations would affect us, so we did not pay for any activities in advance.
