Perfect for us as we did the Railtrack Riders the next day. We really appreciated the twin beds as 2 single people travelling together.

We booked one night in the lodge. The instructions for check in were easy to follow and our room and the communal areas (kitchen and bathrooms) were very clean and presentable. The lodge is right right next to the restaurant and Altho we did not eat there, the food smelt delicious.

Sehr sauberes Zimmer und ein nettes Restaurant mit gutem Essen und guter Weinkarte, es war sehr schön!

Beautiful part of the state, the simplicity of the accommodation blended with the beautiful countryside. The sauna was a treat, and food at Maydena Eats was delicious. WiFi instructions were wrong (maybe outdated?) and shower floors and bedroom corners had been overlooked— fixable things. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room is spacious and clean, though it can get a bit noisy at times. It’s well stocked with basic supplies such as coffee, tea, and sugar—though oddly no milk (perhaps some guests “borrowed” it for good when we fancied a morning cuppa!). Maybe the restaurant is a separate business? possibly a family renting the space to cook for guests, given there isn’t much else nearby. If you do choose to dine there, be prepared for average meals.

Great support from the contact person. Insufficient warm bedding, but this was quickly resolved.

We liked our stay here! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and great gateway to national parks in the area. We appreciated the little kitchenette area by the entrance and the shared toilets were clean.

Room was minimalist but clean. I like that there r sufficient shared bathroom & toilet for 4 rooms & theres no need to move out of the bldg to access them. They r also clean. Wud be great if a chair cud be provided in the room.

Gosh, the space was fine. But very cold inside. The heaters needed to be on all the time mod winter which means no fresh air to battle that "in heating all night" air. Super cheap, easy to manoeuvre. Follow the driving instructions carefully to the location so you dont feel lost!

This was a great option for me, central to the two places I especially wanted to visit being Mount Field & the Gordon Dam

I didn't realise that it was a shared toilet and shower but it worked out well. Everyone was very respectful. Clean modern rooms.

The kitchen to be shared with eight people is so inadequate and not workable, a tiny fridge, to take turns at the 500cm workbench is terrible tiny & just a microwave. Called this place a lodge and no common room and the eating tables are outside with no shelter! Yes one wet morning!! One could dine next door but closed Monday and Tuesday and the winter months

Shared bathroom ran out of shampoo and body wash. There was a shower cap in there which made no sense- why would anyone even share a shower cap is beyond me. The room has no heater and they give you really think blankets. Then, the doors are not completely sealed and we hear people waking up and walking around at 4am. The walls are paper thin you can hear your neighbors’ conversations. The windows are open to the outside which is a source for the cold but also loud birds in the morning at 5am. Easily the worst hotel we’ve had on our trip. Had I known the conditions, I would have paid more at other places for comfort. My wife is also pregnant and had to endure all of these
